Following in Uncle Ho's footsteps

With innovative thinking, enthusiasm, and a desire to contribute, the young generation of Tuyen Quang has been realizing Uncle Ho's teachings through concrete projects and tasks, becoming fragrant flowers in the garden offered to Uncle Ho.

Pioneering and innovative "leaders"

Ms. Tong Thi Thuy, Secretary of the Minh Quang Commune Youth Union, is a prime example. As one of the three outstanding Youth Union officials in the province honored with the Ly Tu Trong Award in 2026, Ms. Thuy is known for her innovative thinking in mobilizing young people. Her initiative, the model "Utilizing social media in propaganda and youth mobilization" through the "Minh Quang Youth" page, has attracted over 3,000 followers, helping over 70% of Youth Union members access information quickly, and increasing the rate of youth mobilization by 30%.

Ms. Tong Thi Thuy, Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union of Minh Quang commune, is a prime example of studying and following President Ho Chi Minh's teachings.

Not only limited to the "digital space," Ms. Thuy directly "guided and instructed," mobilizing union members to contribute labor to demolish 4 dilapidated houses; renovate 800m of rural concrete roads; and maintain the "Lighting Up Rural Roads" program in 38 villages. Through these charitable models, she has connected and mobilized over 350 million VND for social welfare in the locality.

"For me, learning from Uncle Ho means learning from the smallest things, matching words with actions, and putting the interests of the people and the movement above all else," shared Ms. Tong Thi Thuy.

If Ms. Thuy is the flame that ignites the youth union movement, then Mr. Ly Duc Dan, Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Youth Union in Thanh Thuy commune, concretizes the practice of following Uncle Ho's teachings with the aspiration to elevate the agricultural products of his homeland. Born in 1993, witnessing the neglect of the ancient Shan Tuyet tea hills in Na Toong village, Mr. Dan was determined to make a change. In 2017, he mobilized 13 households to establish the Thanh Thuy Tea Planting and Processing Cooperative.

Through persistent guidance to local people on transitioning to organic farming and applying modern processing and packaging technologies, in 2020, the "Chốt 468 Tea" brand (associated with the historical Hill 468) achieved OCOP 3-star certification. To date, this premium product line sells for up to 2 million VND/kg, generating an average income of over 150 million VND per year for its members and providing stable employment for dozens of local workers. Mr. Dân is honored to be one of 36 outstanding young entrepreneurs recognized by the Central Youth Union for their successful entrepreneurship in ethnic minority and mountainous regions in 2025.

On the intellectual front, Dr. Hoang Anh Dao, Secretary of the Youth Union of Tan Trao University, represents the ideal young intellectual: "Courageous, creative, deeply professional, and actively involved in youth activities." For many years, she has exceeded her teaching hour quotas, earning the title of "Outstanding Emulation Soldier at the grassroots level," and has consistently published scientific articles in prestigious international ISSN journals. Under her leadership, the university's Student Union excellently received the Emulation Flag from the Central Committee of the Vietnam Student Union for the 2024-2025 academic year. She herself received an excellent commendation from the Central Committee of the Youth Union for her outstanding implementation of the 2025 Green Summer Program, was recognized as one of the "100 Outstanding Young Faces" of Tuyen Quang province, and received a commendation from the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee for her practical contributions to local development.

Attack on all fronts

In implementing Resolution 57-NQ/TW of the Politburo on digital transformation, the Tuyen Quang Provincial Youth Union has deployed online "Digital Literacy for the People" classes. 200 Zalo pages from the provincial to the commune level are effectively maintained. Models such as "Saturday Volunteer Day for Administrative Procedure Reform," "No Writing on Tuesdays, No Appointments on Fridays," and the "Digital Front" platform have helped tens of thousands of people quickly access online public services.

The significant progress in the "Tuyen Quang Youth Learning and Following Uncle Ho's Teachings" movement is vividly demonstrated through compelling statistics. During the 2025-2026 period, revolutionary action movements attracted over 200,000 enthusiastic young people and youth union members to volunteer, creating new momentum for revolutionary rural areas. In the context of innovation, the youth of Tuyen Quang have made a strong mark by successfully digitizing 55 historical and cultural relics, significantly contributing to the preservation and promotion of tourism in the province.

On the entrepreneurial front, the desire to get rich in their homeland has never been stronger. Through 20 well-organized startup skills training courses, more than 10,000 young people have been introduced to new economic thinking. This force forms the core of more than 100 youth-owned cooperatives, directly bringing more than 20 products to OCOP certification.

To deepen the study and emulation of Ho Chi Minh's ideology, ethics, and style during the 2026-2031 period, Comrade Duong Minh Nguyet, Secretary of the Tuyen Quang Provincial Youth Union, shared: The Tuyen Quang Provincial Youth Union has identified key tasks: Innovating educational methods, organizing annual study sessions on topics related to President Ho Chi Minh for 100% of cadres and union members; conducting direct assessments of understanding through the Vietnam Youth Application; regularly organizing political activities such as "Remembering President Ho Chi Minh - Our Hearts Become Purer" and youth group activities such as "President Ho Chi Minh with Children - Children with President Ho Chi Minh" on major anniversaries; maintaining the effectiveness of models such as "Bookcases for Learning and Following President Ho Chi Minh's Teachings" and "Diaries of Following President Ho Chi Minh's Teachings"; promptly identifying and commending exemplary "Advanced Youth Following President Ho Chi Minh's Teachings"... Especially, maximizing the spirit of initiative and dedication on all fronts, transforming political awareness into concrete revolutionary actions.

The volunteer projects and economic models that enrich the homeland of Tuyen Quang's youth are proof of their spirit of dedication. With their pioneering spirit and willingness to tackle difficult and new tasks, they have made studying and following Ho Chi Minh's ideology, ethics, and style an integral part of their lives. This is the solid foundation upon which Tuyen Quang's youth can confidently follow in the footsteps of President Ho Chi Minh, joining hands with their homeland to firmly advance on the path of reform and integration.
