In the period of 2020-2025, all levels, sectors, agencies, units and localities, based on their functions, tasks and actual situation, have launched many practical and effective emulation movements. Thereby, creating a vibrant emulation atmosphere, attracting a large number of cadres, party members, civil servants, public employees, businessmen, workers, armed forces, business community and people to actively respond and participate.

Notably, the movement “The whole country joins hands to build new rural areas” has achieved many outstanding results, contributing to making the province one of the provinces with a high rate of communes meeting new rural standards in the Mekong Delta region. Promoting the movement “For the poor - No one is left behind”, all levels, sectors and localities have focused on implementing many effective poverty reduction policies.

Since then, it has timely supported poor and near-poor households to stabilize their lives and escape poverty. The socio-economic infrastructure in rural areas, especially in ethnic minority areas, has changed significantly. The material and spiritual life of the poor has improved significantly, contributing positively to the implementation of the poverty reduction target of the whole country.

In particular, the movement "The whole country joins hands to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses" in 2025 is considered by Party committees, authorities, and socio-political organizations at all levels as a key task, prioritized in the political tasks to be implemented. In the spirit of "whoever has something helps, whoever has merit helps merit, whoever has property helps property, whoever has little helps little, whoever has a lot helps a lot" has mobilized all resources to complete the goals and targets, with 9,590/9,590 houses.

The Tra Con Commune Veterans Association, with the "10+1" model (10 well-off and wealthy members help 1 poor, near-poor, or disadvantaged member), has contributed to reducing the number of poor households by 9 and the number of near-poor households by 13. In addition, the association also mobilized members to contribute to the fund for building comrades' houses; contributing revolving capital... Over the past 5 years, Tra Con Commune has made a breakthrough in sustainable poverty reduction, reaching 600% of the resolution, including the contribution of the Commune Veterans Association.

According to Mr. Nguyen Thanh Binh - Chairman of the Veterans Association of Tra Con Commune, the cadres and members are always exemplary, promoting the spirit of mutual love and helping comrades in difficult circumstances. Through that support, the members have strived to overcome difficulties, escape poverty, become rich, and contribute to the development of the local socio-economy.

There are many other typical emulation movements such as: the special emulation movement "The whole country unites, joins hands, and competes to prevent, fight and defeat the COVID-19 pandemic"; "Promoting the development of synchronous and modern infrastructure; practicing thrift and fighting waste"; "Cadres, civil servants and public employees compete to implement office culture"; "The whole country competes in innovation and digital transformation", "Digital education for the masses".

Emulation movements launched by localities and emulation movements in sectors and fields have also been widely deployed and spread, arousing solidarity and unanimity in participating in building the province to become more sustainable, comprehensive and prosperous.

With different tasks, they all shine with the spirit of not being afraid of difficulties, always striving to rise up with positive actions, and are beautiful flowers in the patriotic emulation flower garden of the province.

In the emulation movement to build new rural areas, Trung Hiep commune has achieved encouraging results. Accordingly, rural infrastructure has been invested synchronously, people's lives have been improved, and the rural appearance has changed.

Up to now, the commune has met the new rural standards, with 10 hamlets achieving the model new rural standards. Party Secretary of Trung Hiep commune Pham Minh Hoang said: The commune will continue to focus on investing in building cultural and social institutions, creating community living spaces, improving spiritual life and building a civilized lifestyle for the people of the new rural areas.
