After three exam sessions in Literature, Mathematics, and English, on the morning of May 28th, candidates in Thai Nguyen province completed the entrance exam for 10th grade in the 2026-2027 school year for non-specialized high schools.

Candidates register for the exam at the exam center located at Thai Nguyen Specialized High School.

In the final exam session, the English test was in multiple-choice format, with a time limit of 60 minutes. Across the province, 22,244 candidates participated, with 274 absent; no violations of exam regulations were recorded.

This year's exam was held at 44 examination centers with 22,518 registered candidates. Throughout the exam period, the organization was carried out seriously and in accordance with regulations. Facilities, security, electricity, water, medical services, and candidate support were ensured, contributing to the safe conduct of the exam despite the prolonged hot weather.

According to a preliminary report from the Department of Education and Training, across the three exam subjects, the province recorded two cases of candidates violating exam regulations and being suspended. These included one case of using unauthorized materials in the exam room at the Dong Hy High School examination center and one case of bringing a mobile phone into the exam room at the Phu Luong High School examination center.

Observations at many examination centers show that after completing the final exam, most candidates felt relaxed and relieved. Many students assessed this year's exam questions as basically following the curriculum; in particular, the Literature exam was suitable for developing students' abilities, the Mathematics exam showed differentiation in some application-based questions, and the English exam was appropriate for students' abilities.

According to the admissions schedule, on May 29th, candidates applying to Thai Nguyen Specialized High School and Bac Kan Specialized High School will take the specialized subject exams.
