In episode 2 of Project 100, 29 trainees reunite and receive their first surprise to prepare for a 100-day journey of training and learning. Here, the contestants will be grouped into groups A - B - C - D after each test.

The first ranking is arranged according to the perspective and evaluation of training experts after the casting round. This time, no candidate has met the standards to enter group A.

In the first meeting, the producer representative announced the absence of the 30th contestant for some special reasons. The top 30 contestants will be added after the jury considers, but there is also a possibility that this position will be left vacant.

In addition, during the training and development of the remaining 29 trainees, there will be a special appearance from the top X group of contestants. The current top 29 contestants can be replaced at any time if they do not meet the producer's required qualifications.

The experts present at the first meeting included coaches from Korea, music director SlimV, and the trio of all-round producers Soobin, Toc Tien, and Kay Tran.

Sending his thoughts to the 29 contestants, Soobin advised them to be determined no matter how difficult and challenging the journey ahead is. “I believe that the experts here will help you perfect your skills, because I know what you lack when coming to the program. As long as you have the desire to improve, dreams and seriousness in this journey, I will support you with all my heart,” he said.

Kay Tran shared: “This is the foundation of music, finding talented rookies for the Vietnamese entertainment market. This makes me proud and wants to support the trainees as much as possible. To me, music is a connection, bringing the spirit of growing together and moving forward together.”

Meanwhile, Toc Tien was strict with the contestants when she frankly said: “The 30 of you here are not the 30 best. You are here because you best fit the program’s criteria and we feel you have the ability to train and educate us.

This is not a game, not a fun game, you come here to fight. Don't think that only the people here are judges, but everyone around you is a judge, everyone can score everyone."

Toc Tien also emphasized that Rookie of the Year is not only looking for talented trainees but also focuses on ethics and personality. “People always have to live in groups. Any unconscious communication or action can always create consequences in the future that you cannot foresee,” the female singer said.

Not only requiring skills and qualifications, the all-powerful producers also value the moral values and attitudes of all contestants. Right from the first meeting, contestant Cuong Bach (Bach Hong Cuong) was immediately disciplined by Kay Tran because of his careless sitting posture, which was disrespectful to the experts of the programs.

Realizing his own mistakes, Cuong Bach was receptive and listened, immediately apologized and changed his sitting posture to be more serious and appropriate. “This is a lesson for me to change and learn from. I sincerely apologize,” said contestant Cuong Bach. Kay Tran hopes that the trainees will limit their own indifference and show more respect for others.

In addition, 2 trainees seriously violated the rules of the producer. Specifically, Le Duy Lan and Tran Van Phong leaked the results of the program's top 30 despite being required to keep the information confidential. In response to this violation, the producer required them to level up during the test or they would be immediately removed from the game.

Besides the tense moments, the top 29 All-round Rookies live in a close and warm atmosphere in the dormitory, participating in fun activities together to bond and relieve pressure. The program establishes "iron discipline" to train the contestants in addition to spiritual care and privileges to support the rookies to develop comprehensively and perfectly.

Rookie of the Year (Project 100%) is a reality TV show, inheriting the quintessence of Sister Pretty Pedaling the Wind and Brother Overcoming Thousands of Challenges. The show is based on the value of the international format Show It All, opening up the most authentic stories about the arduous and fierce training journey to be able to create the only standard idol group in Vietnam up to now.
In the program, 30 trainees will undergo training according to international standards, applied to top boy bands such as EXO, Shinee... with leading experts in Korea and Vietnam. Young talents will be trained in a closed environment for 3 months at a shared house to explore and develop themselves.
