The 2025 High School Graduation Exam will take place over two days from June 26-27 with nearly 1.17 million candidates registering to take the exam.
The exam takes place at the same time in all provinces/cities. Each locality is an exam council. The Ministry of Education and Training stipulates that during the exam, candidates must fulfill their responsibilities as candidates.
Article 57 of the High School Graduation Exam Regulations stipulates that any violation of exam regulations will be recorded, disciplined, and notified to candidates.
There are levels of discipline ranging from reprimand to warning, suspension from the exam, deduction of exam points and cancellation of exam results, and consideration of criminal proceedings.
Reprimand
Reprimand is applied in case the candidate commits a mistake once; looks at the test or exchanges the test with another candidate. This form is decided by the Supervisor in the minutes.
Warning candidates
The form of warning is applied to candidates who violate one of the following errors: Having been reprimanded once but during the exam, they continue to violate the exam regulations at the reprimand level; exchanging test papers or scratch paper with other candidates; copying another candidate's test or letting another candidate copy their test.

The form of disciplinary warning is decided by the supervisor in the minutes drawn up, with evidence (if any).
Handling suspension of exam
This form is applied in cases where a candidate violates one of the following errors: Having been disciplined with a warning once but during the exam, he/she continues to violate the exam regulations at the level of reprimand or warning; bringing unauthorized items into the exam room/waiting room; taking the exam paper out of the exam room or receiving answers from outside into the exam room; writing or drawing on his/her exam paper content unrelated to the exam; having actions of quarreling, threatening those responsible for the exam or threatening other candidates; not complying with the instructions of the exam room supervisor or the waiting room manager.
In the above violations, the supervisor will make a record, collect evidence (if any) and report to the Head of the Examination Site to decide on the form of suspension from the exam.
Candidates who are suspended from the exam must submit their exam papers, exam questions, and scratch paper and must leave the exam room immediately after the decision is made and may only leave the exam area when the exam time is over.
Candidates who are suspended from the exam in any year will have their results for all exams/subjects in that year's exam canceled.
Deduct 25% of the test score to 0 points.
This form is applied in situations where a candidate is reprimanded during an exam and will have 25% of the total score of that exam deducted.
Candidates who receive a warning during any exam will have 50% of their total exam score deducted for that exam.
Exams with markings found during grading will have 50% of the total exam score of that exam deducted;
Candidates will be given a score of 0 if the test is copied from documents brought into the examination room illegally; there are two or more answers to one test; the test has the handwriting of two or more people; parts of the test are written on scrap paper or paper that does not comply with regulations.
The exam regulations stipulate that candidates who are suspended from taking any exam will receive a score of 0 for that exam and will not be allowed to continue taking the next exams.
H cancels exam results .
This form applies to candidates who have 2 or more exams with a score of 0 due to violating the regulations; writing or drawing on the exam paper with content unrelated to the exam; letting someone else take the exam or do the exam for someone else in any form; correcting or adding to the exam after submitting it; using someone else's exam to submit.
Consider criminal proceedings
Candidates will have their exam results canceled and their records will be sent to the competent authority for consideration and handling according to the law for candidates who violate one of the following errors: Forging documents to enjoy preferential or incentive benefits; Using illegal diplomas and certificates; Allowing others to take the exam or do the test for them in any form; Having acts of causing disturbance or sabotaging the exam; assaulting people participating in the exam organization or other candidates; Using illegal exam result certificates.
The examination regulations also stipulate that for violations with signs of criminality,educational management agencies will prepare a dossier and send it to competent authorities for consideration of criminal prosecution according to regulations.
