Nui Sap town hands over 19 solidarity houses.

On the afternoon of April 10th, the Steering Committee for Eliminating Temporary and Dilapidated Houses in Nui Sap Town (Thoai Son District) held a ceremony to announce the completion of the "Eliminating Temporary and Dilapidated Houses" program and to hand over solidarity houses in the town. Attending the ceremony were Mr. Thai Minh Hien, Secretary of the Thoai Son District Party Committee; Mr. Duong Ngoc Lam, Chairman of the Thoai Son District People's Committee; and Mr. Nguyen Thanh Tin, Deputy Editor-in-Chief of An Giang Newspaper.

The total number of households whose houses were built or renovated under the "Eliminating Temporary and Dilapidated Houses" program in Nui Sap town is 19 (3 ​​poor households, 15 near-poor households, and 1 disadvantaged policy beneficiary household); of which, 10 houses were newly built and 9 houses were renovated. The houses have an area of ​​24-32m2, ensuring compliance with the "three solid" criteria, with tiled floors, reinforced concrete columns, walls, zinc frames, corrugated iron roofs, and toilets...

19 families received symbolic handover plaques for their solidarity houses.

The total amount of support for building new houses and repairing existing ones is 995 million VND. Of this, the Central Government budget contributed 30 million VND; provincial and district funds contributed 540 million VND; TBS An Giang Joint Stock Company contributed 240 million VND; the An Giang Newspaper Editorial Board contributed 60 million VND; and the remainder was raised by the local authorities and contributed by the families themselves.

According to the Steering Committee for the Elimination of Temporary and Dilapidated Houses in Nui Sap Town, 19 houses under the program to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses in the town were started on March 1, 2025, and completed on April 1, 2025, exceeding the planned schedule. This is the result of the joint efforts of political and social organizations, units, businesses, and philanthropists, creating momentum to help poor and near-poor families settle down, focus on labor and production, and rise out of poverty.
