Forecasting the prices of essential consumer goods on the 28th of Tet (January 27, 2025), the Ministry of Finance said that they will remain basically stable. The prices of some fresh food items such as chicken, seafood, and green vegetables are forecast to increase slightly due to the need to buy for storage during Tet holidays along with the influence of cold air in the Northern and North Central regions.

The Ministry of Finance recommends that ministries, branches and localities continue to closely monitor the supply and demand developments and market prices of goods under their management, especially essential goods that directly serve people's needs during the Lunar New Year 2025, to proactively develop plans to ensure a balance of goods to meet people's consumption needs, stabilize the market, and avoid shortages, disruptions in goods sources, and sudden price increases.
