According to Ms. Le Thi Kim Phuong - Deputy Head of the Xom Moi Market Management Board, the Market Management Board has proactively encouraged traders to import more goods and requested price posting to stabilize the market. In general, the supply of goods at the market is guaranteed, traders follow the posting and sell at the right price, creating peace of mind for shoppers.

In order to serve shopping needs and attract customers during the holidays, many supermarkets and convenience stores in the province have planned to prepare goods 2 weeks in advance, with the amount of goods in stock increasing 3 times, along with attractive promotions and discounts. At Co.opmart Thanh Ha Supermarket (Phan Rang Ward), the amount of essential goods, confectionery, beer - soft drinks... is increased by 20 - 30% compared to normal days. Ms. Nguyen Thi Anh Dao - Director of Co.opmart Thanh Ha Supermarket said: "During the holidays, purchasing power increases by 20 - 30%, focusing on essential food items. We launch many big promotions, discounts up to 50% on food, cosmetics, and household goods to serve customers".

GO! Supermarket system also launched a special program on the occasion of September 2. In addition to deep discounts on many food items, GO! also introduced many regional agricultural specialties for customers to shop and give as gifts. In the field of food services, restaurants, eateries along the coast and in the center all prepared large quantities of food, added seasonal staff to serve the increased number of customers during this time and committed not to increase prices. Ms. Nguyen Thi Thu Suong - owner of Thanh Suong seafood restaurant (Nha Trang ward) said: "The number of customers during the holiday increased compared to normal days, the restaurant imported more fresh seafood, and arranged more staff to serve. We keep the selling price the same as usual, publicly listed for customers to easily choose."

Tight market control

In order to ensure market stability, protect consumer rights and prevent profiteering, the provincial Market Management Department has strengthened inspection and control, focusing on commercial fraud, trading in counterfeit and banned goods and not posting prices according to regulations. Last week, the market management force inspected, detected and handled 13 violations, with a total amount of VND 78 million paid to the state budget. The violations were mainly related to trading in prohibited, smuggled, counterfeit goods and commercial fraud. The market management force also required businesses to sign a commitment not to hoard goods, not to increase prices, to clearly post prices, and to strengthen market surveillance to promptly detect abnormalities.

Mr. Tran Quoc Sanh - Deputy Director of the Department of Industry and Trade said: "During the September 2 holiday, purchasing power increased, we determined the key task is to coordinate with forces to strictly control the market, strictly handle fraudulent behavior. The Department of Industry and Trade also encourages businesses, supermarkets, and traditional markets to improve their responsibility, ensure abundant goods, publicly listed prices, and well serve the needs of people and tourists".
