September 2, the sound of pride in every film: Majestic on land, in the air and at sea
The opening ceremony was the raising of the national and party flags by a squadron of 10 Mi-171, Mi-17, and Mi-8 helicopters flying over Ba Dinh sky. This was followed by a performance by the Casa C-295 and C212i transport aircraft, Yak-130 and L-39NG training aircraft. Especially, the performance and dropping of jamming shells by the Su30-MK2 fighter jet.

Next, the parade groups marched through the Ba Dinh Square stage. The parade group consisted of 4 leading ceremonial groups (cars with the national emblem, national flags and party flags, cars carrying the portrait of President Ho Chi Minh , model cars symbolizing the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day, September 2); followed by 26 military groups and 4 foreign military groups (China, Russia, Laos, Cambodia); 17 police groups; 14 military artillery groups.
