Speaking at the opening ceremony, Associate Professor Dr. Truong Tan Quan, Principal of the University of Economics, Hue University, expressed his belief that this forum "will bring valuable opportunities for us to exchange ideas, establish new cooperative relationships and inspire innovation."

Associate Professor, Dr. Truong Tan Quan emphasized the need to share knowledge, promote cooperation and discuss challenges and opportunities in the fields of economics, business and finance, in the context of the world witnessing rapid changes from economics, politics to the environment.

Attending the online seminar, Professor Dimitrios Aidonis, Head of the Department of Supply Chain Management, Hellenic International University, gave a comprehensive presentation on the profound changes in the global supply chain, in the context of the world being strongly transformed by technology, geo-economic competition and the need for sustainable development.

Professor Aidonis believes that the current global economy is being led by three important pillars: New ideas – new management – new technology. There is fierce competition from developing economies, especially the BRIC group (economic and political alliance, including countries with emerging economies).

According to him, if in 2005 only 8% of Fortune (large assets) businesses had BRIC origins, then by 2024 this number had increased to 54%. "The balance of economic power is changing rapidly," he emphasized.

He also cited research showing that 73% of consumers consider themselves environmentally conscious, and a large proportion of young people are willing to pay more for environmentally friendly products. One company lost 8% of its customers because of its poor environmental image, a warning to any organization that is slow to "go green".

The principal 'shoots' English, students are excited

Since the entire discussion content at this conference was conducted in English, the speakers' exchanges received a lot of attention.

The confident and fluent speech of Associate Professor, Dr. Truong Tan Quan was warmly applauded by the whole hall. Not only the principal, the program management and leadership of Associate Professor, Dr. Bui Duc Tinh, Vice Principal, also left a strong impression.
