After 3 years of successful pilot implementation in Finland, India and Vietnam, the screen-independent digital skills education program Arctic Education (a member of Education Finland) was officially launched in Vietnam today, December 5.

The program is inspired by the Finnish educational method, a completely new approach to digital skills education for preschool and primary school children, which puts children's imagination, mental health and healthy technology habits first.

Different from the traditional way of teaching technology, the program applies the philosophy of minimizing screen time and being child-centered, in line with the UNESCO and UNICEF digital competency framework. The focus of the program is on 6 closely connected learning areas, including: digital skills foundation, computational thinking, artificial intelligence, internet safety, digital storytelling and digital health. These areas are integrated into exclusive adventure stories, helping children develop curiosity, form balanced technology usage habits and nurture a "careful use" mindset in the digital world .

Each activity is built to foster collaboration, creativity and confidence, while ensuring that learning digital skills is fun and appropriate to each child's stage of development.

Also on this occasion, HTV International Education System (HTV Education Group) and Arctic Education officially signed a memorandum of understanding to implement the Arctic Education program at member kindergartens: Creative Garden, Panda Bear, Blue Ocean and Sunshine House.

To implement the educational program, all teachers are trained in the Snowflake method to gain the ability to develop lessons through storytelling and implement activities in a play-based learning approach. This method helps children develop critical thinking skills, design and implement activities that are independent of technological devices, and promote creativity and imagination.
