Sunjade Vietnam Shoes Company Limited with the emulation movement "Good at public work, good at housework"

Over the years, Sunjade Vietnam Shoes Co., Ltd. has always maintained its position as one of the typical units of the emulation movement "Good at public work, good at home work". Thanks to the attention and facilitation of the leadership and the proactive and creative role of the company's union, the movement has spread strongly, becoming a driving force to encourage female union members and workers to enthusiastically work and produce, improve their sense of responsibility and actively build happy and progressive families.

Leaders of the Trade Union of Sunjade Vietnam Shoes Co., Ltd. gave gifts to female workers in difficult circumstances.

As an FDI enterprise specializing in the production of export footwear, Sunjade Vietnam Shoes Co., Ltd. creates jobs for more than 10,000 workers, of which women account for 83%. Recognizing the particularly important role of the female workforce, the company's trade union has closely followed the direction of the higher-level trade union, built specific action plans for each quarter and each month; launched the emulation movement "Good at public work, good at housework" widely to each group and each department. At the same time, associated with emulation movements and campaigns such as "Women actively study, work creatively, build happy families", "Good workers, creative workers"; "Green - clean - beautiful, ensuring occupational safety and hygiene" ... creating a vibrant competitive atmosphere throughout the unit.

To improve the effectiveness of women's work, the Executive Committee of the Sunjade Vietnam Shoe Company Limited's Trade Union assigned a comrade in the Standing Committee to be directly in charge of women's work and hold the position of head of the "Women Workers' Club", regularly closely following the grassroots, grasping the thoughts and aspirations of female workers. On that basis, the trade union proactively advises the enterprise on many appropriate and practical activities. On occasions such as March 8, October 20, June 1... the trade union organizes exchange programs, meetings, cultural performances, folk games and competitions such as tug of war, sack jumping, fashion shows from recycled materials... attracting a large number of female union members and workers to participate. This is not only a useful playground to help workers relieve pressure after work but also a cohesive environment, building a healthy cultural life in the enterprise.

From the movement, many models and practical activities for female union members and workers have been implemented by the union, notably the models: "Workers' Cultural Corner", "Breastfeeding Room", "Female Workers' Club"... In particular, the monthly birthday celebration for union members whose birthday falls within the month has become a unique cultural feature of the enterprise, with the participation of 650 to 1,200 workers/month. Through the "Female Workers' Club" activities and collective birthdays, the union organizes talks on reproductive health, breastfeeding, life skills, skills to build a happy family... These activities not only provide necessary knowledge but also demonstrate the enterprise's deep concern for the spiritual life of its workers.

In addition, the union actively negotiated to sign collective labor agreements with many provisions that are beneficial to female workers. Many regulations are highly humane, such as: female workers who are 7 months pregnant are allowed to work 7 hours but receive 8 hours of salary per day; support of 50,000 VND/child/month for workers' young children; support of 20,000 VND for night shift meals and providing light meals for night shift workers. These policies help female workers feel secure in their work, reducing difficulties in daily life. Every month, the union coordinates with business leaders to visit and encourage 10 families of workers in difficult circumstances, each gift worth 2 million VND. These direct visits are not only supportive but also help the leadership better understand the lives of workers, thereby building more practical welfare policies. In particular, the company also creates conditions to recruit relatives of workers with difficult circumstances to work, helping them earn more income and stabilize their lives.
