Summary of inspection and supervision work of cooperatives in compliance with the Law on Cooperatives 2023

On the morning of December 5, the Thanh Hoa Provincial Cooperative Union held a members' conference to summarize the inspection and supervision work of cooperatives in compliance with the Law on Cooperatives 2023; and discuss directions and tasks for the coming time.

Based on the assigned functions and tasks, in 2025, the Provincial Cooperative Union organized 3 working groups to inspect and supervise the organization and operation situation according to the Law on Cooperatives 2023 of 150 cooperatives in the province.

The inspection content includes the development, amendment and supplementation of the charter and production and business plan according to the provisions of the Law on Cooperatives 2023.

Mr. Nguyen Dinh Tuan, Chairman of Thanh Hoa Province Cooperative Union, delivered the opening speech at the conference.

The inspection results show that 147/150 cooperatives have transitioned their operations according to the 2023 Law on Cooperatives; 120/150 cooperatives have members applying to join the cooperative, contributing capital according to the prescribed ratio; 144/150 cooperatives have a full governance model of the Board of Directors, Director, Accountant, and Supervisory Board in accordance with regulations.

Through the organization of operating models according to regulations, cooperatives have operated more effectively, affirming their important role in creating jobs, increasing income, contributing to increasing income for members and local people. Along with that, affirming the position and role of the collective economy , with the core being cooperatives, in the national economy.

At the conference, delegates discussed and commented on the draft report on the inspection and supervision situation of the Provincial Cooperative Union and pointed out some shortcomings and limitations in the operations of cooperatives, and contributed ideas to build directions for future operations.

Accordingly, to effectively implement the Law on Cooperatives in 2023, the Thanh Hoa Provincial Cooperative Union continues to promote propaganda to raise awareness of the role of the collective economic sector and cooperatives; coordinate to effectively implement consulting activities and support the development of cooperatives in the province; propose policies and programs for training human resources for the collective economic sector and cooperatives... Along with that, continue to direct and support cooperatives to review and convert according to the Law on Cooperatives in 2023.
