Bien Hoa - Vung Tau Expressway section through Dong Nai and Ho Chi Minh City has been connected.

(DN) - On December 5, according to Project Management Board 85 (Ministry of Construction), the investor of Project Component 2, Bien Hoa - Vung Tau Expressway Project, the asphalt concrete paving construction of the section through Phuoc Thai commune, Dong Nai province has been completed. Thereby, the Bien Hoa - Vung Tau Expressway section through Dong Nai province (Project Component 2) and Ho Chi Minh City (Project Component 3) has been connected.

With the section of Project Component 2, connecting with Project Component 3, contractors are implementing many construction steps of road surface, installing median strips, and reinforcing the roadbed. The connection of Project Component 2 and Project Component 3, Bien Hoa - Vung Tau Expressway Project is an important condition towards the goal of technical traffic opening of Project Component 2 before December 19, 2025, completing the entire project for early operation.

Component 2 of the Bien Hoa - Vung Tau Expressway Project, the section passing through Dong Nai province, is 18km long. According to Project Management Board 85, up to now, the construction output of the entire project has reached more than 70% of the signed contract value. It is expected that by December 19, 2025, the construction output will reach about 85% of the contract value, meeting the conditions for technical traffic opening as required by the Prime Minister.

The entire construction site of Component 2 of the Bien Hoa - Vung Tau Expressway Project is maintaining the construction progress of "3 shifts, 4 crews". Contractors are focusing on speeding up the construction progress of Tan Hiep intersection, the intersection connecting with Long Thanh International Airport (airport) and the intersection with Ho Chi Minh City - Long Thanh - Dau Giay Expressway.

Bien Hoa - Vung Tau Expressway has a route length of about 54km, of which the section passing through Dong Nai province is more than 34km long, divided into component projects 1 and 2; the section passing through Ho Chi Minh City is nearly 20km long and belongs to Component Project 3.

In April 2025, Component 3 of the Bien Hoa - Vung Tau Expressway Project was technically opened to traffic. Currently, at this component project, contractors are completing the final items such as: lighting, traffic safety, and traffic organization at intersections.
