On September 2, Argentine media reported extensively on the military parade to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the successful August Revolution (August 19, 1945 - August 19, 2025) and the 80th anniversary of Vietnam's National Day (September 2, 1945 - September 2, 2025).

A VNA correspondent in Buenos Aires said that the Resumen Latinoamericano newspaper published an article highlighting that the capital Hanoi these days is brilliantly decorated, filled with the atmosphere of celebrating the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution in 1945 and National Day - the historic event when President Ho Chi Minh read the Declaration of Independence at Ba Dinh Square on September 2, 1945, giving birth to the Democratic Republic of Vietnam, now the Socialist Republic of Vietnam.

According to Resumen Latinoamericano, about 40,000 people participated in the parade, marching with 87 groups including military forces, police, militia, mass organizations, and specialized vehicles and equipment.

The program opened with the traditional fire lighting ceremony, raising the national flag, followed by a solemn parade demonstrating the strength, discipline and solidarity of the Vietnam Armed Forces and Public Security.

The newspaper recalled that on September 2, 1945, Vietnam became the first Asian country to declare independence after World War II, ending French colonial rule and Japanese fascism.

This year’s commemoration is not only a significant event for the Vietnamese people but also an opportunity for Vietnam to demonstrate its international friendship with international friends. Military representatives from China, Russia, Laos and Cambodia also attended, with Russia sending an honor guard from the Preobrazhensky Regiment, while Laos and Cambodia each sent 120 soldiers to participate in the parade.

The article also appreciated the presence of international guests attending the ceremony, including Cuban President Miguel Díaz-Canel, demonstrating the traditional solidarity and close ties between Vietnam and Cuba.

Also according to Resumen Latinoamericano, the parade is divided into many blocks such as the honor block, the people's army block, the police, armed forces of friendly countries, militia, followed by the formation of motor vehicles and modern equipment.

The performance harmoniously combines tradition and modernity, reflecting the combat capability, technical level as well as the determination to protect the Fatherland of the Vietnamese people.

Notably, Resumen Latinoamericano said that on this occasion, Argentine international expert Silvano Pascuzo, in an interview on Telesur TV channel, emphasized that the significance of the 80th anniversary of Vietnam's National Day should be placed in a historical context: Vietnam is a nation that has gone through three major wars against Japan, France and the United States; led by President Ho Chi Minh and the Communist Party of Vietnam with a steadfast will to gain national independence; and at the same time achieved great strides in modernization in the past four decades, bringing the country deeply integrated into the region and the world,
On the same day, Argentina's La Nacion newspaper also reported prominently on the 80th anniversary of Vietnam's National Day.

With the headline “Vietnam celebrates National Day with a grand parade”, Argentina’s leading daily newspaper quoted General Secretary To Lam as emphasizing: “We are determined and persistent in protecting the independence, freedom, sovereignty, territorial integrity, and every inch of sacred land of the Fatherland with the combined strength of the entire nation: political , economic, cultural, scientific, technological, military, foreign affairs strength and the strength of the people.”

The article also commented that Vietnam celebrated its 80th Independence Day with its largest military parade in decades, with many modern military equipment including tanks, missiles, helicopters and fighter planes. Thousands of Vietnamese soldiers and military personnel, along with representatives from China, Russia and other countries, participated in the celebration.

According to the article, the Vietnamese government has spent a support package worth 380 million USD for the people on this occasion. President Luong Cuong also announced a special amnesty for 13,920 prisoners, including 66 foreigners.

La Nacion also reported that these days, tens of thousands of Vietnamese people poured into the streets of the capital Hanoi, dressed in red and waving the national flag, to witness the grand parade in a joyful and happy atmosphere, demonstrating a strong spirit of national unity.

The article emphasized that the parade also took place at sea, in Cam Ranh Bay, with the presence of the modern submarine and destroyer fleet of the Vietnam Navy./.
