Que Vo Town (Bac Ninh): Evaluation and classification of OCOP products in 2024

Recently, the Que Vo Town Evaluation Council organized an evaluation and classification of products under the One Commune One Product (OCOP) Program in 2024, introducing 27 products in the following groups: Food, Beverages and Handicrafts. Including 12 food products, 5 beverage products, and 10 handicraft products.

The evaluation council and delegates visited OCOP products in 2024 at Que Vo Culture, Sports and Communication Center.

Que Vo Town always identifies the OCOP Program as an important factor to promote economic development in the agricultural and rural areas, and has had many effective solutions to sustainably develop these products. In particular, the attention of the Standing Committee of the Town Party Committee has led and directed the Town People's Committee, specialized agencies, communes and wards to pay attention to implementing the program, from integrating propaganda work into meetings and conferences... to introduce, disseminate and guide all people in the town to know about the program... to reviewing and selecting typical and unique products that are eligible to participate in the assessment and classification to register for the competition.

Right from the beginning of the year, specialized agencies and People's Committees of communes and wards deployed and implemented the steps of the OCOP program, from stimulating ideas, preliminary assessment, appraisal and registration of products of localities participating in the OCOP program, so the quality of 27 products of 12 subjects participating in the assessment all met the criteria and had an average total score of 50 to 69 points, meeting the 3-star OCOP standard.

The Evaluation Council focused on classifying according to the 2024 Criteria with 3 parts, including: Production organization; product development; community strength; marketing; product story; sensory, nutritional, and uniqueness indicators; product standards; export and distribution capabilities in international markets. All products are local specialties, characteristics, and traditions, ensuring quality, food hygiene and safety, with traceability and packaging and labels according to regulations.
