Growing from experience
Along with classroom knowledge, many life skills are gradually becoming a familiar part of the school environment. A life skills session can begin with stories about how to interact with friends, how to react to school bullying, escape skills in dangerous situations, or how to use the internet safely.
These themes are appearing more and more frequently in Youth Union activities and school life. Over the past five years, Youth Union branches throughout the province have organized more than 5,130 activities on the themes of building beautiful friendships and saying no to school violence, with over 700,000 children participating. In addition, many schools maintain models of social skills education , creative experiential play during recess, legal awareness campaigns, life skills training, and self-protection skills.
The foundation of today's childhood will contribute to nurturing a generation that is confident, compassionate, resilient, knows how to share, cultivates aspirations for self-improvement, and is ready to adapt to life's changes to confidently move forward in the future.

Through these activities, life skills gradually become an integral part of children's growth journey. At the Provincial Youth Activities Center, the "Safe School" life skills education model continues to be implemented in many schools with topics such as: online safety, preventing and combating online kidnapping, fire prevention and control, escape skills, school etiquette, and violence prevention. In 2025, more than 5,000 students and teachers in schools participated in this model.
According to Ms. Trinh Thi Loan, Director of the Provincial Youth Activities Center, today's children are growing up in an environment undergoing rapid changes, from technology and social media to learning methods, communication, and behavior. Therefore, experiential activities are designed to help students develop skills relevant to real life, from teamwork, communication, and behavior in school to self-protection and adaptation to situations that arise in life.
From skill-building environments, experiential spaces for children are also expanding. The province currently maintains over 1,859 clubs focusing on learning, hobbies, children's rights, culture, and sports in schools, children's centers, and residential areas. In addition, competitions in Young Informatics, STEM, Children's Math Olympiad, English, creative programming, and science-based experiential activities are maintained at many Youth Union branches to help children become familiar with logical thinking, digital skills, and self-learning abilities.
Let's share
Besides knowledge and skills, a spirit of sharing, responsibility towards the community, and positive life habits are gradually nurtured through small daily actions. Movements such as "A Thousand Good Deeds," "Two Friends Helping Each Other," "Friend Helping Friend," "Study Corner for Students," and "Sharing Love" continue to be maintained in many student teams, creating an environment for students to learn how to care for and support each other in their studies and daily lives.
Along with a spirit of sharing, awareness of environmental preservation is also fostered through everyday activities in schools. Models such as "Green Classroom," "For a Green School," garden care, waste sorting, plastic recycling, or exchanging waste for green plants continue to be maintained by many schools. Thousands of young volunteers participate in youth propaganda teams and red star teams to spread messages about the environment, food safety, and traffic order.
From these experiences, many life values are gradually nurtured in the journey of children's growth. According to Mr. Doan Minh Tam - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Youth Union, Chairman of the Provincial Children's Council, current Children's Council work focuses on expanding the training environment for children to develop knowledge, skills, a sense of responsibility, and community awareness.
