Major, professional soldier Tang Ba Hung, born in 1978, from Thanh Lang commune (Thanh Ha), currently residing in Xuan Ang village, Truong Son town, An Lao district ( Hai Phong city). He was a driver of Company 1, Battalion 1, Brigade 653 (Logistics Department, Military Region 3). He heroically sacrificed his life while on duty to help people overcome the consequences of storm No. 3.
On September 10, the People's Committee of Truong Son town sent a dispatch to Brigade 653 calling for human resources support to overcome the consequences of storm No. 3.

On September 11, the Commander of Battalion 1 sent 6 comrades, including Major, professional soldier Tang Ba Hung, to carry out a mission in Truong Son town. At 1:45 p.m. the same day, Major Tang Ba Hung and some comrades of the unit were trimming broken trees and cleaning up equipment when they were electrocuted.

Immediately after discovering the incident, the comrades on duty together with the people shouted, cut off the electricity, quickly brought comrade Hung out for first aid, and immediately took him to the emergency room at Kien An Hospital, Hai Phong City, but comrade Hung did not survive and died.
Mr. Pham Van Tien in Xuan Ang Residential Group, Truong Son Town, directly coordinated with the unit to overcome the consequences after the storm and shared: "Our neighborhood had many trees and electric poles broken. To help people quickly stabilize their lives, comrade Hung and his teammates worked hard day and night to help clean up and repair many works affected by the storm. When comrade Hung was pulling the tree, he was electrocuted and died. We are extremely sorry and admire comrade Hung's spirit and selfless responsibility for the people."

Major Tang Ba Hung is always exemplary, completing assigned tasks well; was awarded a certificate of merit by the Military Region Command for his outstanding achievements in the emulation movement "Determination to Win" in the period of 2019-2024 and was awarded certificates of merit many times by the Ministry of National Defense and the Military Region.

Lieutenant Colonel Dinh Gia Thuong, Deputy Brigade Commander, Chief of Staff of Brigade 653, said that Comrade Tang Ba Hung is an exemplary soldier, responsible in his work, always completing assigned tasks excellently. For 5 consecutive years, he has achieved the title of Emulation Soldier at the grassroots level (from 2018-2023). He was also awarded a certificate of merit by the Military Region Command for his outstanding achievements in the "Determined to Win" emulation movement for the period 2019-2024 and was awarded certificates of merit many times by the Ministry of National Defense and the Military Region. Upon receiving a request for coordination from the People's Committee of Truong Son town, Comrade Hung volunteered with his teammates to overcome the consequences caused by the storm. Currently, the unit is coordinating with functional agencies, localities and his family to resolve policies and regimes for Comrade Hung.
