Veterans – those who witnessed and experienced those glorious years – will be present to share their unforgettable memories. Each story is a part of history, a valuable lesson for today's generation.

"The Song of Fire and Flowers" is an event part of the "Preserving V" charity project, carried out byFPT University Hanoi students with the desire to preserve beautiful memories and honor the stories of previous generations – those who sacrificed their youth and blood for the peace we enjoy today.
Interspersed with the narratives are elaborately staged cultural performances, recreating the atmosphere of a bygone era. In particular, the participation of the FPTU Vovinam Club and FMUC FPTU Muay Club promises not only powerful martial arts demonstrations but also a display of unwavering spirit – values associated with extraordinary willpower and determination.
In particular, the appearance of a mystery guest will bring surprises to the program. In addition, gifts of appreciation will be personally presented by the students to the veterans as a heartfelt thank you for their sacrifices and contributions.

Sharing about the project name "Preserving V," Pham Le Mai Chi – Head of the Organizing Committee – said: "'V' is not simply a letter, but also signifies 'The halo of a generation,' a symbol of enduring values; 'Victory – the resounding victory of an entire nation'; 'Veterans' – veterans, those who dedicated their youth to protecting the country; 'Vietnam' – the beloved and proud name of our homeland. This is not just a charitable activity, but also carries a greater mission: connecting the past with the present, spreading the spirit of gratitude, and inspiring the younger generation about national history."
Previously, on February 23, 2025, as part of the project, young people carried out the "Freedom Recollection" program, organizing a visit to the Vietnam Military History Museum (Hanoi) for veterans of the Kim Bang War Invalids Rehabilitation Center. The trip was an opportunity for the veterans to revisit artifacts steeped in memories of their youth and the wartime era. Once again, they returned to the defiant, indomitable spirit they displayed when they wore military uniforms, star-studded caps, and carried guns into battle.

Young people are focusing on applying AI to reconstruct documentary footage, recreate historical documents, and create elements in the design process.
Notably, in the "Preserving V" project, young people focused on applying AI to reconstruct documentary footage, recreate historical documents, and create elements during the design process. In particular, 100% of the project's funding came from fundraising sales and donations through a donation portal.
According to Mai Chi, the "Preserving V" project currently focuses primarily on veterans, especially those facing mental health challenges. In the future, the project may expand to include their relatives, former youth volunteers, and those who have contributed to the revolution. The young people also aim to collaborate with educational institutions, businesses, and media to organize more in-depth activities, such as interactive talk shows, digital exhibitions of war relics, or podcasts featuring stories from historical witnesses.

"We can build a digital memory library that stores stories, images, and video documents from veterans. This helps preserve historical heritage for a long time and makes it more easily accessible. Using virtual reality (VR) can help the younger generation 'experience' the old battlefields through the perspective of those who came before, creating a deeper understanding," Mai Chi said.
According to the Head of the Organizing Committee, with the "Preserving V" project, young people hope to spread awareness to three target groups: For veterans, it's not just about providing material support, but also about offering emotional support, helping them feel heard and appreciated; for the younger generation, it's an opportunity to gain a deeper understanding of history through true stories, thereby fostering patriotism and social responsibility; and for society – creating a strong movement of historical appreciation, helping to preserve traditional values in the digital age.
