Late last month, Vinicius reportedly agreed to a three-year contract extension with Real Madrid. However, the two sides have yet to make an official announcement. According to AS , this is not the top priority at the Spanish club at the moment. Real are busy making new signings ahead of the FIFA Club World Cup, which starts on June 19.
After the signings of Dean Huijsen and Trent Alexander-Arnold, Real Madrid are hoping to sign left-back Alvaro Carreras from Benfica in time to register their squad for the FIFA Club World Cup. Benfica are hoping to get 50 million euros, but Real are only offering 40 million euros.
As for Vinicius, the Brazilian striker is expected to earn a total of €100 million over the next five years, with an average salary of €20 million per season, €5 million more than his current salary. However, this salary will start at a lower figure of €20 million next season and increase each year until it reaches a total of €100 million.
This amount can be increased through bonuses if Vinicius wins the "The Best" award, the Ballon d'Or, or reaches certain goal milestones.
By agreeing to extend his contract, Vinicius will become the highest paid player in the Real squad, surpassing even Kylian Mbappe (15 million euros per year).
Vinicius' new deal will also be one of the longest of any player in the current Real Madrid squad. In addition to Vinicius, players such as Dean Huijsen, Endrick, and Andriy Lunin are also under contract until 2030, while Alexander-Arnold is under contract until 2031.
