In case the male teacher's maternity leave when his wife gives birth coincides with the summer vacation, he is not entitled to make up for it.

In addition, teachers' holidays, Tet and other holidays are implemented according to the provisions of the Labor Code. Based on the school year plan, scale, characteristics and specific conditions of each school, the principal arranges teachers' vacation time reasonably in accordance with regulations, ensuring the school year time frame.

How many classes does a teacher teach a week?

Based on the current staff situation, school plan and teaching hours in a school year, the principal assigns teachers tasks with an average teaching hour per week.

Specifically, primary school teachers have 23 periods, middle school teachers have 19 periods, and high school teachers have 17 periods.

Teachers of primary ethnic boarding schools have 21 periods, teachers of secondary ethnic boarding schools have 17 periods, teachers of secondary ethnic boarding schools have 17 periods, teachers of secondary ethnic boarding schools have 15 periods.

The teaching quota for a vice principal in a school year is 4 periods/week multiplied by the number of weeks devoted to teaching.

Principals and vice principals are not allowed to convert the reduced teaching hours regime for concurrent positions. When teaching enough teaching hours as prescribed above, principals and vice principals are allowed to apply the regulations when calculating the number of extra teaching hours (if any).
