Fansipan peak area is the highest mountain range in Hoang Lien Son range in Hoang Lien commune, Sa Pa town (formerly San Sa Ho commune, Sa Pa district). Through research and study, it is shown that the name "Fansipan" was used by the French in documents about Sa Pa in the early 20th century. The terrain and topography of the area are completely created by nature and the geological formation that lasted for thousands of years along with the embellishment of human hands have highlighted the wild beauty, captivating people, becoming a destination that cannot be missed by tourists when coming to Sa Pa.

To complete the dossier proposing the ranking of provincial-level scenic relics and landscapes, delegates focused on discussing the identification of the original elements forming Fansipan peak; specifically determining the boundaries, scale, adjacent areas; and the scope of the proposed ranking boundary for protection.

Researching and establishing scientific records of relics in the Fansipan peak area is a necessary and urgent task to create a legal basis for long-term and effective protection and promotion of the values of the relics according to the provisions of the Law on Cultural Heritage and other provisions of law.
