At the 21st session of the People's Council of Ba Ria - Vung Tau province, term VII, term 2021 - 2026, taking place on June 25, the delegates of the Provincial People's Council focused on discussing and deciding on reports and draft resolutions in the fields of economy - budget, land, and law.

At the meeting, the delegates of the Provincial People's Council focused on discussing and deciding on reports and draft resolutions in the fields of economy - budget, land, and law. Specifically: Supplementing the land recovery project to be implemented in 2024 in Ba Ria - Vung Tau province; Supplementing the project to change the land use purpose from rice land and protective forest land to be implemented in 2024 in the province; Assigning the Provincial People's Committee to allocate the budget to level I budget units for tasks that have not been clearly identified as implementing units in the budget at the beginning of the year and the expected arising contents but have not yet had the policy of the Provincial People's Committee to allow implementation in 2024; Policy on arranging administrative units at district and commune levels in the period of 2023 - 2025 of Ba Ria - Vung Tau province.
Issue support policies for cadres, civil servants, and public employees of agencies, organizations, and units at the district level and cadres, civil servants, and non-professional workers at the commune level who are redundant due to the rearrangement of administrative units at the district and commune levels in the period 2023 - 2025 in the province; Issue criteria for establishment, criteria for the number of members of the Security and Order Protection Team; levels of support, compensation, subsidies, and ensuring operating conditions for forces participating in security and order protection at the grassroots level in the province; Policy on establishing wards in Phu My town and establishing Phu My city.
100% of delegates approved the establishment of 3 wards in Phu My town.
At the meeting, with 100% of delegates in favor, the 21st Session of the 7th Provincial People's Council, term 2021 - 2026, passed a Resolution approving the policy of establishing wards in Phu My town and establishing Phu My city in Ba Ria - Vung Tau province.
The resolution clearly states and approves the policy of establishing 3 wards in Phu My town, including: Toc Tien ward on the basis of the entire natural area, population size and 6 hamlets of Toc Tien commune; Tan Hoa ward on the basis of the entire natural area, population size and 4 villages of Tan Hoa commune; Tan Hai ward on the basis of the entire natural area, population size and 5 villages of Tan Hai commune.
Thus, according to the resolution, Phu My city was established on the basis of the entire natural area (333.02 km 2 ), population size (195,591 people) and 10 commune-level administrative units under Phu My town (8 wards: Phu My, My Xuan, Hac Dich, Tan Phuoc, Phuoc Hoa, Toc Tien, Tan Hoa, Tan Hai and 2 communes: Song Xoai, Chau Pha). Phu My has an urbanization rate of 86.09%.
The Provincial People's Council assigned the Provincial People's Committee to complete the documents and procedures to submit to competent authorities to decide on the establishment of wards in Phu My town and the establishment of Phu My city according to the provisions of law./.
