Details of the case of a male student in An Giang assaulting a classmate.

(NLĐO) - After reviewing the information, the leaders of Phu Tan commune, An Giang province, confirmed that the incident occurred in another commune.

On October 22nd, the People's Committee of Binh Thanh Dong commune reported to the Department of Education and Training of An Giang province about the incident involving a fight between students at Binh Thanh Dong High School, which resulted in one male student being hospitalized.

As reported by Nguoi Lao Dong newspaper , on October 20th, a 40-second video clip appeared on social media showing a group of students fighting, resulting in one male student being injured.

According to the person who shared the clip, the images of the group of students fighting were recorded in Phu Tan commune. On October 21, the leaders of Phu Tan commune also confirmed to reporters that the incident occurred in their area.

However, on October 22nd, in a phone conversation, Mr. Nguyen Quoc Bao – Chairman of the People's Committee of Phu Tan commune – stated that the incident occurred in another commune and that these children were not students of Phu Tan Secondary and High School.

"Due to inaccurate initial information, there was a misunderstanding. Afterwards, I instructed my colleagues to verify the information, and we obtained accurate details about the incident that occurred in Binh Thanh Dong commune," Mr. Bao explained.

On the same day, Mr. Nguyen Van Nghia, Chairman of the People's Committee of Binh Thanh Dong commune, confirmed to reporters that the incident occurred in the commune. The commune also reported the entire incident in writing to the An Giang Department of Education and Training.

According to a report from the People's Committee of Binh Thanh Dong commune, on October 21, the People's Committee received a report from the commune police regarding a case of "intentional infliction of injury" that occurred on October 18 in Binh Dong 2 hamlet.

The person who reported the incident to the police was Ms. Tr.Th.H. (residing in Binh Trung 1 hamlet, Binh Thanh Dong commune), mother of L.Tr.Gi.B. (born in 2012; a student in class 8A6 of Binh Thanh Dong Secondary School).

According to initial verification by the Binh Thanh Dong Commune Police, on the morning of October 18th, B. went to the artificial turf football field in Binh Trung 2 hamlet to play football. Many friends were there to play and watch, including Ng.M.Tr. (born in 2011; a student in class 9A5, Binh Thanh Dong Secondary School). B. played football until about 10:00 AM that day when he became suspicious.

Due to a pre-existing conflict, after the football match, B. and Tr. arranged to meet at an empty plot of land to fight.

While B. and Tr. were fighting, Ph.VT rushed in from outside with a three-section stick and hit B. on the head and face. B. was taken to the Binh Thanh Dong Health Station to have his wounds stitched up, and then his family took him to Chau Doc General Hospital for further treatment.

Regarding the above incident, the Binh Thanh Dong commune police are currently compiling the case file for processing.

On the school's side, on the morning of October 22nd, the Board of Directors of Binh Thanh Dong Secondary School continued to invite parents and students involved in the fight to a meeting. Accordingly, the parents of the students involved directly met with the representatives of the students who were assaulted to apologize, compensate for damages, and commit to educating their children better.
