The Traffic Police Department has just released information on vehicle registration and license plate issuance after the province merger.

According to the Traffic Police Department, implementing the National Assembly 's Resolution on the arrangement of provincial-level administrative units in 2025, vehicle registration and license plate issuance will be carried out in the direction that local license plates will remain the same.

For merged localities, the license plate number is the license plate number of the locality before the merger.

Vehicle registration certificates and license plates issued before July 1, 2025 will continue to be used.

Organizations and individuals are allowed to register their vehicles at the commune-level police station in the province or city where the vehicle owner resides or is headquartered./.
