According to initial information, market management forces discovered many watch, eyewear, and handbag businesses with signs of violations of counterfeit goods, goods of unknown origin, and goods that infringe on the intellectual property rights of famous brands such as Rolex, Omega, Rayban, Prada, LV, Dior, Gucci, Chanel, Philippe, etc.

Previously, the market management force also repeatedly inspected business activities at Ben Thanh Market, An Dong Market (District 5), stores, and shopping centers and discovered and handled many cases of selling fake fashion and cosmetics of famous brands and goods of unknown origin.
It is known that this activity is part of the plan of the Ho Chi Minh City Market Management Department to focus on fighting against counterfeit goods, infringement of industrial property rights and commercial fraud at points of sale and shopping centers, especially in District 1.
Mainly organizations and individuals trading in shoes, clothes, functional foods, jewelry accessories... and goods that are often counterfeited, infringe intellectual property rights, and of unknown origin.

Speaking to Tuoi Tre Online on November 1, a representative of the Ho Chi Minh City Market Management Department said that the activities implemented in the past and in the coming time will mainly focus on wholesale markets, gathering places, and business hubs, trading goods of unknown origin, counterfeit goods, and goods that infringe intellectual property rights.
"The authorities will further increase inspection activities at the end of the year, the time when violations in business and trade often occur more frequently due to increased shopping demand," said this representative.
