In this match, goalkeeper Tran Trung Kien (HAGL) made a mistake that led to a penalty for the Han River team, and he was also the one who corrected the mistake immediately after that when he successfully blocked the opponent's striker's 11m shot.
Leaving the away field with 1 point, Tran Trung Kien shared: "I think the team played well when meeting Da Nang Club, but there were some unlucky situations and we conceded a goal. I feel quite regretful". Regarding the confusion in the defense, as well as the poor connection between the goalkeeper and the surrounding satellites, the "goalkeeper" of the mountain town team expressed: "I think there are always mistakes in football. Through matches like this, we will gain a lot of experience to play better".
Trung Kien was the main goalkeeper in all 3 first matches of V-League 2024 - 2025. The goalkeeper born in 2003 is up to 1.91 m tall. This number is very impressive compared to the average of current Vietnamese goalkeepers.
Referring to the decisive jump to successfully block the shot of the foreign striker playing for Da Nang Club, Tran Trung Kien revealed that it was thanks to luck. However, the "goalkeeper" born in 2003 of HAGL also studied the 11m kick of foreign player Yuri before, so he made an accurate judgment about the direction of the shot.
From October 5, Tran Trung Kien and two teammates at HAGL Club, striker Nguyen Quoc Viet and midfielder Chau Ngoc Quang, will join the Vietnam national team. This is the first time Trung Kien has worn the national team jersey at the highest level. "I was very surprised to be on the list of the Vietnam national team. This is an opportunity and motivation for me to try harder in the future. In the first time gathering with the national team, I was a bit nervous but always ready," said the HAGL goalkeeper.

In this training session of the Vietnamese national team, coach Kim Sang-sik called up 4 goalkeepers: Nguyen Filip, Dang Van Lam, Nguyen Van Viet and Tran Trung Kien. The young goalkeeper of HAGL Club believes that this will be a valuable opportunity for him to interact, learn and improve his skills from his seniors.
