The Disciplinary Committee of the Royal Spanish Football Federation (RFEF) has confirmed that Real Zaragoza goalkeeper Esteban Andrada has been suspended for 13 matches for attacking Huesca player Jorge Pulido during the Aragon derby last weekend.

The incident occurred after Andrada received his second yellow card and was sent off. Before leaving the field, the Argentinian goalkeeper rushed forward and punched Pulido in the face. The incident caused the Huesca player to suffer a swollen cheekbone and fall to the ground.

According to the RFEF's decision, Andrada has been banned for 12 matches for assaulting an opponent, plus one more match due to a previous red card. With this penalty, the Zaragoza goalkeeper will miss the remainder of the season.

Referee Dámaso Arcediano's report describes Andrada as having "aggressively approached his opponent, jumped up and threw a powerful punch to the face," before the incident sparked a brawl between players from both teams.

Not only was Andrada punished, but Huesca goalkeeper Dani Jiménez also received a four-match suspension for punching an opponent during a scuffle. Meanwhile, Zaragoza player Dani Tasende was banned for two matches.

Article 103 of the RFEF regulations states that a player who attacks an opponent when the ball is out of play or unrelated to the match situation may be suspended for 4 to 12 matches. In Andrada's case, the disciplinary committee applied the highest penalty within that range.
