According to the announcement of the Vietnamese Ministry of Foreign Affairs on the afternoon of June 22, at the invitation of Premier of the State Council of the People's Republic of China Li Qiang and Founder and Executive Chairman of the World Economic Forum (WEF) Klaus Schwab, Prime Minister of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam Pham Minh Chinh will attend the 15th Annual Pioneers Meeting of the World Economic Forum held in Dalian City, Liaoning Province, China and work in China from June 24 to 27.
The 15th World Economic Forum (WEF) Pioneers Meeting with the theme "Next Growth Frontiers" will be held from June 25 to 27 in Dalian, China.
More than 1,500 delegates, including leaders of countries, international organizations and representatives of large corporations and enterprises, will discuss and propose solutions to help open up the next frontiers of growth for the world economy.
Previously, in January this year, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh attended the 54th Annual Meeting of the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland (WEF Davos 2024) at the invitation of WEF Founder and Chairman Klaus Schwab.
The WEF Davos 2024 conference will take place from January 15-19, 2024 with the theme "Rebuilding Trust". Vietnam is one of nine partners proposed by WEF to coordinate in organizing a National Strategic Dialogue with WEF and Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh is one of eight leaders of countries having a separate dialogue with WEF.
After more than 74 years of establishing diplomatic relations, Vietnam-China relations have maintained a stable development trend and achieved many important results. High-level exchanges and contacts take place regularly.
General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong paid an official visit to China in October 2022. In December 2023, during the state visit to Vietnam by General Secretary and President of China Xi Jinping, the two countries issued a Joint Statement on continuing to deepen and elevate the Comprehensive Strategic Cooperative Partnership, building a Vietnam-China Community of Shared Future of strategic significance, and signed 36 cooperation documents in many fields.
In 2024, high-level and all-level exchanges and contacts between Vietnam and China will continue to take place actively, in many flexible forms, both on Party, State and people-to-people channels.
