Immediately after arriving in Yunnan, National Assembly Chairman Vuong Dinh Hue met with Wang Ning, Member of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, and Chairman of the Standing Committee of the Yunnan Provincial People's Congress.
During the meeting, National Assembly Chairman Vuong Dinh Hue and Yunnan Provincial Party Secretary Wang Ning discussed measures to leverage the potential and strengths of both sides, and further promote cooperation between Vietnamese ministries, localities, and Yunnan province in the future.

National Assembly Chairman Vuong Dinh Hue acknowledged and highly appreciated the positive progress in cooperation between Vietnamese and Yunnan provinces at all levels and sectors in recent times; affirming the consistent policy of the Vietnamese Party and State on continuing to deepen and elevate the traditional friendly neighborly relations, comprehensive strategic cooperative partnership, and shared future community between Vietnam and China, which have strategic significance.
The Chairman of the National Assembly affirmed that Vietnam always supports and creates all favorable conditions for Vietnamese localities to establish and develop mutually beneficial cooperative relations with Chinese localities, especially those sharing a border such as Yunnan province. The Vietnamese National Assembly is ready to accompany and support the increasingly strong development of cooperation between Vietnamese localities and Yunnan, bringing practical benefits to the people of both sides.
Emphasizing that Vietnam and Yunnan are not only geographically close but also share deep historical ties, and that the need and potential for cooperation between the two sides are immense, the Chairman of the National Assembly proposed strengthening exchanges between local leaders and implementing existing cooperation mechanisms and agreements between Yunnan and Vietnamese localities.

In addition, the two sides will coordinate border patrols on land, combat terrorism, cooperate in immigration management, and prevent cross-border crime; promote cooperation in key areas, especially railway connectivity, the Kunming - Lao Cai - Hanoi - Hai Phong line; and boost tourism cooperation, exchanges, and sharing of experiences in poverty reduction and sustainable development.
The Chairman of the National Assembly expressed his desire for close cooperation between the two sides in managing and protecting the border in accordance with the three documents on land borders and related agreements, coordinating to resolve outstanding issues and incidents arising in the border area, and building a peaceful and stable border. The Chairman of the National Assembly requested Yunnan to continue preserving the revolutionary sites where President Ho Chi Minh and other Vietnamese revolutionary leaders once worked.

Yunnan Provincial Party Secretary Wang Ning expressed his welcome and honor in receiving National Assembly Chairman Vuong Dinh Hue and the high-level Vietnamese delegation to visit Yunnan province.

Provincial Party Secretary Wang Ning stated that, with its two outstanding advantages of geographical location and natural resources, Yunnan is strengthening railway and road connections, expanding trade and logistics cooperation, and playing its role as a gateway for China to South Asian and Southeast Asian countries, including Vietnam.
Expressing strong agreement with the specific cooperation proposals of National Assembly Chairman Vuong Dinh Hue, Provincial Party Secretary Vuong Ninh affirmed that Yunnan values its friendly cooperative relationship with Vietnam and is ready to work with Vietnamese localities to effectively implement the common understanding of the high-level leaders of the two countries, as well as the common understanding between Yunnan province and Vietnamese ministries, departments, and localities; strengthen exchanges of delegations at all levels, and effectively promote the role of cooperation mechanisms, including cooperation between the National People's Congress and People's Councils at all levels.
Provincial Party Secretary Wang Ning also stated that Yunnan is ready to deepen economic and trade cooperation, encourage enterprises to invest in Vietnam, and is ready to import high-quality Vietnamese agricultural and seafood products; strengthen cooperation in infrastructure connectivity and border gate connectivity, promote facilitation and improve customs clearance efficiency; cooperate in the fields of green agriculture, modern agriculture, and green energy; and promote cooperation in the fields of health, culture, education, and tourism.
