It is known that on September 17, the scene of a male employee standing at the rear door of a wide-body aircraft of Qatar Airways, receiving items from a colleague inside. After that, the man threw the objects from above onto the runway, was recorded by witnesses.

The video was filmed zoomed in from the terminal window area at Madrid–Barajas Airport (Spain). This scene quickly caused an explosion on social networks, with many criticizing and claiming that passengers' luggage was being treated carelessly and disrespectfully.

“This video should be sent to his company so they know how rough their employees are working,” one social media account quipped.

Meanwhile, others questioned whether this was something passengers had to pay to check in to get back.

An account named Mike suggested that this might only happen in Spain. He said he had traveled to many places, but had never seen his luggage treated so badly as here.

"Almost every time we travel to Spain, our checked luggage is damaged," the guest said.

However, some other opinions say that the items may not be passenger luggage. They may just be blankets and soft items taken after flights, brought to the ground to be washed.

Up to now, Madrid–Barajas Airport and Qatar Airways have not made any comments regarding this incident.

Previously, an incident that occurred in July 2024, recorded by a passenger, showed an employee of Hong Kong (China) airline Cathay Pacific blatantly throwing a passenger's luggage down below.

After the incident, the airline representative apologized to the passengers (Photo: News).

In the video, viewers can see a female employee wearing a Cathay Pacific reflective uniform. She repeatedly throws a suitcase from the cargo hold of the plane and then throws it down the stairs below.

"I understand why suitcases are constantly dented and even broken," one social media account said.

When the video went viral on many social media platforms, causing outrage among Chinese public opinion, Cathay Pacific immediately opened an investigation to clarify.

Along with that, the airline representative officially apologized to customers for bringing bad impressions.

The airline later confirmed that the person in the video was an employee of the ground services provider. The female employee was suspended from work shortly after.

With the unfortunate incident, Cathay Pacific representatives noted that they have asked the ground service provider to improve staff training and supervision to prevent similar incidents from recurring. At the same time, the airline emphasized the high standards that participating staff must comply with.

Recently, the European aviation industry has also experienced a series of notable incidents.

A pilot was forced to circle a plane full of passengers in mid-air because the sole air traffic controller fell asleep.

The incident occurred on an Air Corsica flight from Paris Orly to Ajaccio. As the plane approached the island of Corsica (France), ground control staff did not respond to communication.

It is understood that the fire department tried to contact the control tower. When they could not contact the control tower, police and airport staff were forced to climb the tower to wake the staff member, helping the flight land safely.

Then, on September 17, the French Civil Aviation Authority confirmed that the plane had to circle in the sky for 18 minutes before being allowed to land.
