People are very concerned about their health. They try every way to find clean food sources. Some people grow vegetables on their rooftops or go back to their hometowns every weekend to buy them.

Some people only use fruits and vegetables with skins, hoping they are "cleaner" than leafy vegetables... But all of these methods still cannot avoid fake goods and dirty food everywhere.

Never before have so many counterfeit goods been discovered as on this occasion, and all of them are very large cases, with "huge" warehouses, and the amount sold and used by consumers is worth hundreds of billions of dong.

Since April, the police have discovered an "ecosystem" of nine companies producing and trading fake milk; a group of companies producing and trading 200 fake functional food products in Hanoi ; a warehouse of 100 tons of fake Western and Oriental medicine in Thanh Hoa; a warehouse of collagen and functional foods smuggled from China in Bac Ninh...

And now, even the popular dish "cigarette intestines" is being "accused" of being sold in abundance in the market but rarely seen in slaughterhouses, with the risk of being smuggled or using some kind of substance to make it.

According to the decentralization of the authorities, there are currently three ministries related to family meals, namely the Ministry of Industry and Trade, the Ministry of Agriculture and Environment , and the Ministry of Health.

Responding at the regular Government press conference on May 6, the leader of the Ministry of Health said that the ministry had "fulfilled its responsibility" and had decentralised to the locality. There are up to three ministries managing food, managing to the point of "full responsibility" but meals are still in chaos, what should people do?

The Ministry of Health is drafting a revision to the Food Safety Law. At this time, a "commander" is needed for food safety and hygiene, an issue that is close to every citizen and every family.

Before 2013, food issues were "united" under the main management of the Ministry of Health. After 2013, it was divided into ministries according to product lines and decentralized to localities.

But recent developments in food hygiene quality show that loopholes in management have been exposed, and dirty and fake food is appearing more and more.

"Diseases come from the mouth", disease prevention is to increase life expectancy, improve health, thereby improving the quality and productivity of labor, improving the quality of life, we cannot let people worry every time they pick up a piece of food: where did this piece come from, or stop eating because they are afraid it is not hygienic, not safe! Will the upcoming law make people less worried?
