At the conference, comrade Truong Thi Mai emphasized that this was the first conference of the Standing Secretariat with the Secretaries of Provincial and Municipal Party Committees to create unity, clarity, and raise awareness and responsibility in leadership and direction from the Central to Provincial and Municipal Party Committees.

The conference not only stopped at thoroughly implementing the guidelines, policies, directives, resolutions and conclusions of the Central Committee but also was an opportunity for Party leaders to listen, meet, exchange experiences and achievements, and at the same time share difficulties and problems of Provincial and Municipal Party Committees, and find solutions for leadership and direction in the coming time.

The Standing Member of the Secretariat said that this conference aims to evaluate the outstanding results of the first 6 months of the year; inform about the results as well as difficulties and obstacles in the first half of the term of implementing the resolutions of the Party Congresses at all levels; and at the same time forecast and propose tasks that need to be focused on in the next half of the term.

Comrade Truong Thi Mai commended the achievements in the first 6 months of 2023 of 63 Provincial and Municipal Party Committees in leadership, direction, and implementation of congress resolutions, resolutions, directives, and conclusions of the 13th Party Central Committee, Politburo, and Secretariat, and resolutions of provincial and municipal party congresses for the 2020-2025 term.

Emphasizing a number of key tasks from now until the end of the year, Comrade Truong Thi Mai requested that the Provincial and Municipal Party Committee Secretaries focus on leading and directing the effective implementation of 6 key tasks according to the Conclusion Notice No. 29-KL/TW dated July 27, 2023 of the Politburo, integrating the key tasks set forth by the Mid-term Conference of the 13th Party Central Committee.

The Provincial and Municipal Party Committee Secretaries are highly focused on completing the set goals and targets. For new issues arising in the area, the Party Committee Secretaries must promptly direct and handle them. The Standing Secretariat requested the Provincial and Municipal Party Committee Secretaries to thoroughly grasp the contents presented by Minister of Public Security To Lam at the conference on Directive No. 24-CT/TW, dated July 13, 2023 of the Politburo.

Along with that, the Provincial and Municipal Party Committee Secretaries need to focus on participating and preparing well for the upcoming 8th Central Conference. Regarding the recommendations and proposals of the Provincial and Municipal Party Committees raised at the conference, the Standing Secretariat noted and assigned relevant agencies to continue studying and proposing to the Politburo and the Secretariat to direct relevant agencies according to their assigned functions and authority to directly respond to the Provincial and Municipal Party Committees.

At the conference, the Provincial and Municipal Party Committees discussed and proposed 7 groups of recommendations on Party building and the political system. 23 Provincial and Municipal Party Committees proposed and proposed contents related to the institutionalization of strategies, policies, and orientations for socio-economic development and ensuring national defense and security of economic regions, the capital Hanoi, and the development of industries and fields...
