On the morning of June 9, at the Party Central Committee headquarters, Comrade Truong Thi Mai, Politburo member, Standing member of the Secretariat, Head of the Central Organization Committee, warmly received the high-ranking delegation of the Communist Party of India Marxist (CPI-M) led by Comrade Sitaram Yechury, General Secretary of the Communist Party of India Marxist (CPI-M) visiting and working in Vietnam.
Standing member of the Secretariat Truong Thi Mai warmly welcomed Comrade Sitaram's working visit to Vietnam and conveyed the greetings and best wishes of Comrade General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong to Comrade Sitaram; expressing her joy at the special solidarity and friendship between the two Parties, States and peoples continuing to develop well.
Standing member of the Secretariat Truong Thi Mai informed comrade Sitaram Yechury about the recent situation in Vietnam, about a number of key tasks that the Communist Party of Vietnam is actively implementing, including mass mobilization work and the connection between the Party and the masses.
Affirming that under the leadership of the Communist Party of Vietnam, Vietnam has transformed from a country with a poverty rate of 58% to a middle-income country in the world, Standing member of the Secretariat Truong Thi Mai said that the Communist Party of Vietnam is summarizing 40 years of experience in implementing the Doi Moi process, including supplementing, analyzing, and specifically evaluating the domestic and international situation to improve the effectiveness of building guidelines and policies in the coming period.
CPI-M Party General Secretary Sitaram Yechury sincerely thanked the Standing Secretariat for taking the time to receive the delegation; shared the good results of the meetings with representatives of the leaders of the Central agencies of the Communist Party of Vietnam; affirmed that the contents of the discussions have reference value to help the CPI-M Party implement and deploy the Resolution and tasks of the Party in the coming time.
On this occasion, Comrade Sitaram Yechury informed about the situation in India, the current priorities of the CPI-M Party as well as the task of gathering the working class, strengthening cooperation with the Left and democratic forces to protect the rights and interests of workers, and expanding the influence and position of the Party in politics.

Previously, the CPI-M Party delegation had talks with comrade Le Hoai Trung, member of the Party Central Committee and Head of the Central External Relations Commission. The two sides discussed specific measures to strengthen relations between the two Parties and the two countries.
The delegation also had discussions with comrade Pham Tat Thang, member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Head of the Central Committee for Mass Mobilization; worked with representatives of the Central Economic Committee and the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front.
At the meetings, the delegation listened to discussions on Vietnam's recent socio-economic development situation, the orientation and goals of the Communist Party of Vietnam on Party building, anti-corruption and the Party's connection with the masses.
