Against a highly rated opponent, Thuy Linh still played confidently. In the first set, the number one Vietnamese player was in a tight match with Chen Yufei. However, when the score was 6-6, the Chinese representative scored 7 consecutive points to lead 13-6. Thuy Linh only equalized 4 points before losing with a score of 10-21.
