Awarding the decision to appoint 2 Secretaries of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee

(Dan Tri) - The Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee has received and appointed Mr. Tran The Thong and Mr. Dinh Xuan Hai as Secretaries of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee.

On the afternoon of October 13, Deputy Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee Nguyen Phuoc Loc chaired the ceremony to hand over the decision on cadres. At the ceremony, the representative of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee's Organizing Committee announced the decision of the Standing Committee of the Party Committee on receiving and appointing Mr. Tran The Thong as Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee Tran Luu Quang.

Previously, Mr. Tran The Thong was Secretary of the Party Central Committee, former Head of the Central Policy and Strategy Committee Tran Luu Quang.

The Standing Committee of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee also decided to receive and appoint Mr. Dinh Xuan Hai, Deputy Head of the General Department, Central Inspection Commission , to hold the position of Secretary of Mr. Tran Luu Quang, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee.

In his speech assigning tasks, Deputy Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee Nguyen Phuoc Loc said that the city is focusing on preparing and organizing the 1st Ho Chi Minh City Party Congress, term 2025-2030. This is the first time in history that a city-level Party Congress has been held with an unprecedented scale and stature, opening a new development path for the largest economic , cultural, scientific and technological center in the country.

Due to the actual situation of personnel work, the Standing Committee of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee discussed, evaluated, accepted and appointed Mr. Tran The Thong and Mr. Dinh Xuan Hai to hold the position of Secretary of the Party Central Committee and Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee Tran Luu Quang.

According to the Deputy Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee, Mr. Tran The Thong has worked in Ho Chi Minh City, has received thorough training, has a lot of experience with a long list of achievements, high professional qualifications and skills. Mr. Nguyen Phuoc Loc believes that Mr. Tran The Thong will continue to strive, train, and coordinate with the leaders and staff of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee Office to successfully complete the assigned functions and tasks.

After completing his economics research abroad, Mr. Dinh Xuan Hai joined the Central Inspection Commission. From September 2021 to present, he is Deputy Head of the General Department, Central Inspection Commission, Secretary of the Standing Deputy Head of the Central Inspection Commission.

Mr. Nguyen Phuoc Loc suggested that Mr. Tran The Thong and Mr. Dinh Xuan Hai immediately take on new responsibilities, unite with the Office of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee, promote traditions and achievements; strengthen the application of information technology; effectively carry out administrative reform work in the Party, further improve the quality of consulting, appraisal, synthesis, and assistance to the Standing Committee of the City Party Committee and the Standing Committee of the City Party Committee.
