The first round of the 2024 capacity assessment exam organized by Ho Chi Minh City National University took place this morning with 51 exam clusters and 90 exam locations.

Many candidates were not allowed to take the competency assessment exam due to lost identification cards.

According to Dr. Nguyen Quoc Chinh - Director of the Center for Testing and Assessment of Training Quality of Ho Chi Minh City National University, the total number of candidates registered for the first round of exams is 95,549. The total number of candidates taking the exam this morning is 93,831, 1,718 were absent, a rate of 98.2%, the highest ever.

According to a quick report from all the test sites, during this morning's test, up to this point, no candidate has violated the regulations. No traffic jams occurred at any test sites during the test.

"The exam situation this morning was stable, nothing unusual happened. The exam took place safely and according to regulations," Mr. Chinh added.

According to Tuoi Tre Online , at the Van Lang University exam site this morning, many candidates forgot to bring their exam notices or reported losing their ID cards.

Candidates were assisted by the test site to complete the procedures to enter the exam according to the regulations. However, at this test site, about 10 candidates were not allowed to take the exam because they did not have identification documents.

There were many reasons for the absence of candidates, including those who forgot to bring their identification documents. This year, Ho Chi Minh City National University strictly implemented the exam regulations, so candidates who did not bring their identification documents as required were not allowed to take the exam.

At some exam sites, many candidates called their relatives to bring their documents so they could get to the exam room at 8am.

Register for the second round of capacity assessment exam, register for admission from April 16

The results of the first round of exams are expected to be announced by Ho Chi Minh City National University on April 15, through the candidates' personal accounts when registering for the exam.

From April 16 to May 7, Ho Chi Minh City National University will open the second round of exam registration at: http://thinangluc.vnuhcm.edu.vn/.

In the second phase, Ho Chi Minh City National University organized on Sunday morning June 2 in 12 provinces and cities: Thua Thien Hue, Da Nang, Binh Dinh, Khanh Hoa, Dak Lak, Lam Dong, Ho Chi Minh City, Ba Ria - Vung Tau, Dong Nai, Binh Duong, Tien Giang and An Giang.

"Similar to previous years, candidates can take both exams. The higher result will be used for admission consideration," said Mr. Chinh.

The registration time for both rounds of exams will be announced later by Ho Chi Minh City National University.

According to Mr. Chinh, this year Ho Chi Minh City National University will reserve at least 45% of its total admission quota for the capacity assessment test. The test results are used by more than 100 universities and colleges for admission.
