On the afternoon of September 30, Ho Chi Minh City held a ceremony to announce and hand over decisions on retirement, transfer and appointment of many leadership positions of departments and branches. The ceremony was attended by Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee Nguyen Van Duoc, Deputy Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee Nguyen Phuoc Loc, representatives of the Standing Committee of the City Party Committee and leaders of relevant departments and branches.
At the ceremony, Mr. Nguyen Bac Nam - Deputy Director of the Department of Home Affairs of Ho Chi Minh City - announced 3 retirement decisions according to the regime. At the same time, he announced 20 decisions on transferring and appointing officials. Among them, many leaders of the Department of Construction went to work at the Department of Planning and Architecture.
In his new position, Mr. Vo Hoang Ngan - the new Director of the Department of Planning and Architecture of Ho Chi Minh City (before receiving the decision, he was the Director of the Department of Construction) - said he was very honored and happy to be trusted by the city leaders with a new task in the context of Ho Chi Minh City having just merged for a while.
He pledged to work with the department to complete the task well, contribute to building the city and bring happiness to the people.
Speaking at the ceremony, Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee Nguyen Van Duoc affirmed that the decisions on transfer and appointment this time were carefully considered by the Standing Committee of the City Party Committee, based on the planning and capacity of each cadre. On behalf of the Standing Committee of the City Party Committee, he highly appreciated the contributions of retired cadres as well as those who were transferred and appointed.
"In any position, you have all completed your assigned tasks well. Today, some of you are retiring. I hope you will take care of your health and continue to inspire the next generation and your neighbors.
For comrades taking on new assignments, this is an honor but also a great responsibility. I request the agencies and units receiving new cadres to create favorable conditions for comrades to quickly get into the swing of things.
We are all one, put aside our own thoughts and locality. Together we will complete the common task excellently, for the development of Ho Chi Minh City and the whole country," said Mr. Duoc.
