Establishment of the Veterans Association of Hue City People's Committee

HNN.VN - On the afternoon of September 30, the Veterans Association of Hue City People's Committee held an extended Executive Committee meeting. Attending the meeting was Ms. Dinh Thi Nhu Hien, Deputy Secretary of the Hue City People's Committee Party Committee.

The Association of War Veterans of the City People's Committee was established with 20 affiliated associations, including 18 units of the Association of War Veterans of the City People's Committee, along with the Association of War Veterans of Hue University and the Association of War Veterans of Hue Central Hospital, gathering 325 members. Mr. Le Dac Dung, Party member, Vice Chairman of the Party Committee's Inspection Commission, was appointed as Chairman of the Association of War Veterans of the City People's Committee.

At the conference, the Executive Committee of the Association of War Veterans of the City People's Committee announced the decision to establish and deploy key tasks of the Association in the fourth quarter of 2025, notably the preparation work for the organization of the 1st Congress of Delegates of the Association of War Veterans of the City People's Committee in October.

Mr. Le Ngoc Thanh, Chairman of the Hue City Veterans Association, emphasized that the establishment of the Veterans Association of the City People's Committee is an important milestone, demonstrating the growth, solidarity and attachment of former soldiers who are now working in agencies and units. At the same time, he hopes that with tradition and experience, members of the Veterans Association of the City People's Committee will continue to promote their core role, build a strong Veterans movement, and truly become a support for the younger generation in studying, training and contributing.

According to Mr. Le Dac Dung, the Association of War Veterans of the City People's Committee will focus on strengthening the organization, improving operational efficiency, continuing to promote the noble qualities of Uncle Ho's soldiers, contributing to building clean and strong agencies and units. At the same time, members will actively participate in patriotic emulation movements, making practical contributions to the political , economic and social tasks of the city.
