Quang Ninh War Veterans Association: Innovating and improving the quality of association activities in the new period

The 8th Congress of the Association of War Veterans of Quang Ninh province, term 2025-2030, is expected to be held in 2 days, November 25 and 26, 2025. This is an important political event, expected to create a comprehensive transformation in the association's activities, continue to promote the qualities of Uncle Ho's soldiers, the tradition of "Loyalty - Solidarity - Exemplary - Innovation", build a clean and strong association, contribute positively and effectively to the work of building the political system and socio-economic development of the province.

Chairman of the Provincial Veterans Association Dam Huy Dac said: In line with the spirit of the 16th Provincial Party Congress, term 2025-2030, this Provincial Veterans Association Congress will focus on 3 major breakthroughs. The first breakthrough is to build a strong and comprehensive association organization, focusing on personnel work, building a core team with sufficient capacity, qualities, prestige, equal to the task, in line with the 2-level local government model. Along with that, it is necessary to raise awareness, promote the exemplary role of members in the movements of hunger eradication and poverty reduction, building new rural areas, and urban beautification, contributing to the successful implementation of the province's socio -economic development goals.

The second breakthrough is in ideology and politics, which is identified as the core content throughout the entire term to strengthen the people's and members' trust in the Party's leadership. All levels of the association will continue to promote propaganda and education on revolutionary traditions and patriotism for the younger generation; resolutely fight against false information and " peaceful evolution" plots, while mobilizing members and people to strictly comply with the Party's and State's guidelines, policies, and laws. In the context of the country organizing Party congresses at all levels, the provincial Veterans Association especially emphasizes the responsibility of members in protecting the Party's ideological foundation, not participating in, sharing, or spreading false information that affects the reputation of the association and the great national unity bloc.

The third breakthrough focuses on the field of science and technology and digital transformation. Implementing Resolution No. 57-NQ/TW dated December 22, 2024 of the Politburo on breakthroughs in science and technology development, innovation and national digital transformation, the Provincial Veterans Association has launched the movement "Digital Veterans and Digital Citizens", promoting the application of information technology in operations, activities, and record management, minimizing the use of documents, moving towards paperless meetings. Officials and members are encouraged to proactively learn and adapt to new technologies, ensure information safety and security, and not spread fake news, contributing to building the image of a new-age veteran with courage, intelligence, responsibility, and modernity.

In addition, the Provincial Veterans Association also focuses on implementing Resolution No. 68-NQ/TW (dated May 4, 2025) of the Politburo on private economic development. Promoting the role of the Provincial Veterans Enterprise Association as the core, the Association has encouraged and supported members to participate in production, business, and start-ups, contributing to local economic growth, creating jobs and stable income for workers.

Up to now, the whole province has 174 small and medium enterprises, 27 cooperatives, 3 cooperative groups, 120 farms, 593 households and 1,309 production and business households owned by war veterans. Of these, 14 enterprises have achieved revenue of over 50 billion VND/year, 28 enterprises have achieved over 10 billion VND/year, creating jobs for more than 16,000 workers. These figures clearly demonstrate the pioneering role, self-reliance and self-reliance of war veterans in economic development, legitimate enrichment, contributing to building the homeland of Quang Ninh increasingly prosperous and prosperous.

These movements have spread widely in the community, contributing to maintaining security and order, building a safe and stable area right from the grassroots.
