In the early 1990s, Truong Ngoc Anh rose to prominence almost simultaneously in both film and fashion . Her youthful beauty at that time was described by the press as iconic.

In terms of beauty, Truong Ngoc Anh doesn't stand out more than the elegant charm of Giang My or Hien Mai; the pure East Asian style of Diem Huong or Thu Ha; or the sensuality of Y Phung.

Their common traits include being beautiful women with successful careers, prestige, confidence, and influence in their professions, along with strong, independent personalities.

Even after her peak, Truong Ngoc Anh remains a respected and sought-after name.

Besides being an actress, she is also a film producer and runs businesses in many fields, from media and food to beauty pageants, and has an extensive network of contacts.

Equally important, Truong Ngoc Anh has had relatively few scandals throughout her career spanning over 30 years, almost never being involved in any serious controversies. With her reputable personal brand, she is a familiar face on the judging panels of film festivals, awards, and beauty contests; she even participated in the National Cultural Conference in 2021.

Rising to the top through merit, but...

Despite her humble origins, Truong Ngoc Anh rose to the pinnacle of her career through sheer talent and hard work.

The golden age of Truong Ngoc Anh's acting career lasted 14 years (1992 - 2006), from the muse Diem in " Do You Still Remember or Have You Forgotten?" to the character Dan in "Hanoi Silk Dress" - quite rare in showbiz.

Although her acting skills had been proven through films such as "Farewell to the Past," "Blood Money," and "The Royal Candle ," it wasn't until "Hanoi Silk Dress" that Truong Ngoc Anh truly created a masterpiece, establishing herself as a veteran in the profession.

To this day, the scene where Ms. Dan loses her child remains a classic, becoming a topic of discussion in film seminars and a subject of research for many generations of students.

In 2014, Truong Ngoc Anh officially began her second career as a film producer. Films such as Huong Ga, Truy Sat, Sac Dep Ngan Can , and Abduction (Dem Hoang Dao) have somewhat proven her position in the film market.

However, when she became a producer, Truong Ngoc Anh's reputation somewhat diminished because she talked a lot but did little.

On numerous occasions, the beauty queen has held lavish press conferences to announce information about new projects when they were still just ideas. Notable examples include the Son Tinh - Thuy Tinh and Trung Vuong (She Kings) projects.

Furthermore, the announcement of the film Son Tinh - Thuy Tinh by the beauty queen was even considered to be overstepping director Victor Vu's authority, causing the project to become a thing of the past.

Unfortunate

Truong Ngoc Anh seized opportunities, which wasn't wrong, but her assessment of the issues wasn't thorough or comprehensive, and coupled with unforeseen circumstances, she became overwhelmed and created more burdens for herself.

To date, it is difficult to say that Truong Ngoc Anh has been successful in her role as president of the organization that holds the rights and organizes the Miss Earth, Miss Earth Vietnam, and Miss Ethnic Vietnam pageants.

Venturing into a new field not only distracted her from her main profession but also led to a long period of debt and legal troubles.

Truong Ngoc Anh is beautiful and successful, but her love life and marriage have been turbulent. She divorced actor Tran Bao Son and has gone through many failed relationships, some public and some quiet.

The news that Truong Ngoc Anh has been indicted and temporarily detained for investigation into the crime of abusing trust to misappropriate property has caused much regret. Many people are questioning why such a talented and beautiful woman has fallen into this situation.
