With its 28km long coastline and abundant natural beauty, including pristine landscapes and diverse culture, La Gi has favorable conditions for tourism development. The blue sea, white sand, golden sunshine, and especially the gently sloping and tranquil beaches rarely experience natural disasters like storms and floods, are significant advantages for attracting investors in eco-tourism, urban development, and resort real estate. In addition, major transportation infrastructure projects are considered important "leverages" for the local economic and social development. La Gi town will directly benefit from major ongoing projects such as the Giau Day – Phan Thiet Expressway, reducing travel time from Ho Chi Minh City to La Gi to just 1.5 hours. Furthermore, the coastal road from Vung Tau to La Gi is also being expanded and upgraded by Vung Tau. According to the Binh Thuan Provincial Development Plan until 2030, La Gi town is designated to become the central urban area of the southwestern economic region of Binh Thuan province, with strengths in concentrated industrial development and the formation of service, trade, and tourism centers. In addition, the Provincial People's Committee has implemented a project to develop Binh Thuan into a national-level marine tourism and sports center. Accordingly, the locality will focus on investing in the development of distinctive marine tourism and sports products in tourist areas along the coastline from Tuy Phong district to La Gi town.
Since 2017, the 180km coastal road, stretching from Long Hai - Binh Chau in Vung Tau City to La Gi - Mui Ne in Binh Thuan Province, has taken shape. Located between two convenient connection points to the Long Thanh mega-airport, Phan Thiet airport, and the Dau Giay - Phan Thiet expressway, this route, encompassing four pristine coastal tourist destinations, will significantly contribute to transforming Binh Thuan's economic landscape. La Gi, situated centrally along the coastal road and serving as a gateway to Binh Thuan's resort capital, possesses numerous advantages in attracting investment capital from businesses, especially in the development of the resort real estate market. Furthermore, La Gi boasts many community-based tourism destinations. Its advantageous location is further enhanced by its position on the route connecting the tourism quadrilateral of Ho Chi Minh City - Vung Tau - Cam Ranh - Da Lat, with distances to these destinations only around 150-160km.

Thus, tourists can easily choose 2 or 3 resort destinations in the same trip. The Cam Binh community tourism site, located in Tan Phuoc commune, covers an area of approximately 2.6 hectares and has long been known to many people inside and outside the province, attracting visitors year-round. One reason is that visitors can enjoy fresh seafood caught by locals using bamboo baskets at reasonable prices, in addition to the beautiful natural scenery. The Doi Duong - Hon Ba community tourism site, located in Binh Tan ward, covers an area of approximately 8.2 hectares, including Hon Ba (2 hectares) and the inland area of 6.2 hectares, with a beachfront length of about 400 meters. Currently, Binh Thuan province has approved a company's proposal to invest in the Doi Duong community tourism site in Binh Tan ward, La Gi town. La Gi town also has the Ngảnh Tam Tân community tourism site in Tân Tiến commune, covering an area of 31,041.8 m² , currently home to 47 households engaged in food and beverage businesses, seafood trading, and guesthouses. The La Gi Town People's Committee has invested in constructing four concrete roads from Road 719 to Lạch Cu Tri and a seawall along the coastline. The Hiệp An community tourism site, also in Tân Tiến commune, covers an area of approximately 2 hectares with a coastline of about 100 meters. This is also the boat and fishing basket landing area for fishermen from Hiệp An village. The main tourism products of La Gi town are sightseeing, cultural and spiritual activities, relaxation, and cuisine . Recently, new products such as camping in tents and homestays have attracted a considerable number of tourists. The number of tourists visiting La Gi has been increasing every year, with an estimated average of 300,000 visitors per year. Overnight visitors account for approximately 40% of the total, with an average of 1,500 international visitors annually. Nowadays, tourists are increasingly interested in the quality of their experiences and are more likely to stay longer if the destination offers many interesting discoveries. Currently, ecotourism and "green" tourism, closely linked to nature, are becoming popular. Therefore, the local authorities and businesses have kept pace with this new trend in tourism development. Focusing on investing in new and sustainable tourism products, destinations need to organize services well, develop new and attractive services such as outdoor camping, nature exploration tours, and unlock the potential of "green" tourism to serve tourists, creating momentum for sustainable development and environmental protection of La Gi tourism.
