On October 9th, Son La Newspaper held a launch event for its new Son La Online Newspaper interface and its specialized sections in English, Thai, and Hmong languages.

Comrades Nguyen Huu Dong, Member of the Central Committee of the Party, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Head of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation; Lo Minh Hung, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee; Hoang Quoc Khanh, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; Nguyen Thai Hung, Member of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council; Dinh Thi Bich Thao, Member of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee, Head of the Provincial Propaganda Department; and La Minh Tuan, Editor-in-Chief of Son La Newspaper, pressed the button to launch the new interface of Son La Online Newspaper and its special sections: Son La Newspaper in English, Thai ethnic language, and Mong ethnic language, in the presence of members of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee, members of the Provincial Party Committee; leaders of provincial departments, agencies and districts, and cities.

Son La Newspaper Online, formerly the Son La Newspaper website, began operating in February 2006. In August 2016, Son La Newspaper was licensed by the Ministry of Information and Communications to upgrade to Son La Newspaper Online, with addresses: https://www.baosonla.org.vn and https://www.baosonla.com.vn.

In 2022, Son La Newspaper received investment from the Provincial Party Committee to implement the "Investment and Upgrade Project for Son La Electronic Newspaper". With modern technology, maximizing the application of various platforms, and enhancing the quality of content and format, the online newspaper vividly reflects the activities of social life. It regularly innovates and updates information, enriching and making the pages and sections of the online newspaper more attractive; ensuring continuous information updates 24/7.

To achieve the goal of delivering information "Fast, accurate, relevant, and engaging" and to expand its reach to a wider audience, Son La Online Newspaper continues to launch special sections in English, Thai, and Mong ethnic languages. These three sections have been licensed by the Press Department, Ministry of Information and Communications under numbers 10, 11, and 12/GP-CBC dated July 26, 2023, and officially launched on August 1, 2023.

The English-language website, en.baosonla.org.vn, comprises seven sections: Current Affairs - Politics; Economy; Foreign Relations; Society; Tourism; Sports; and Culture. This is a channel for disseminating information and promoting Son La to the world, particularly highlighting Son La's potential and strengths to attract investment; promoting agricultural products and tourism; and spreading the image of Son La as a dynamic, innovative, friendly, and hospitable province to the world, contributing to Son La's proactive integration into the international community along with the rest of the country.

The Son La Newspaper website, in Thai, has the domain name tt.baosonla.org.vn; in Hmong, it has the domain name tm.baosonla.org.vn. Both websites have six sections: Current Affairs - Politics; Economy; Society; Tourism; Sports; and Culture. They provide up-to-date news, vivid images, and rich cultural information about the ethnic groups of Son La; connecting culture, history, present, and future online, easily accessible anytime, anywhere.

The specialized sections run on the Son La Electronic Newspaper platform, allowing easy selection of sections and return to the homepage with a beautiful, modern, and user-friendly interface. It offers fast access speeds, high security and interactivity, and is user-friendly and accessible. Commenting and social sharing features enable readers to easily participate in discussions and share interesting articles through the most popular social networks.

Upholding its core principles and objectives, Son La Newspaper continues to be a reliable and authoritative source of information for readers inside and outside the province, making a significant contribution to the revolutionary cause of the Party, truly serving as the voice of the Party Committee and government, and a trusted forum for the people of Son La.
