Over the past two weeks, across the country, tax authorities at all levels, along with technology solution providers, have been actively implementing many practical activities, providing hands-on guidance to individual businesses... with a common goal of quickly and smoothly assisting businesses in their transition.
In Nghe An , instead of a "60-day campaign" like other places, the locality shortened it to just "30 days". Without waiting for lengthy official documents, immediately after the plan was announced, the Nghe An tax department formed a task force, went to each ward and commune, "going door-to-door," "hands-on guidance," and instructed each business household to install the Etax Mobile application, set up point-of-sale systems, and create electronic invoice accounts on the spot.
Ms. Nguyen Thi Hang, a business owner in Do Luong commune, Nghe An province, said: "Tax officials and suppliers have been very supportive. It was difficult at first, but their 24/7 support has made things very convenient."
Mr. Mai Dinh Tu, Deputy Head of the Tax Department of Nghe An province, shared: "The 30-day campaign aims to create a foundation for people and business households to conveniently access this transformation model. This ensures they are prepared and avoids putting pressure on them."
In Hanoi , without waiting for a campaign, support for business households to eliminate lump-sum tax was implemented immediately from June 1st, when business households with revenue exceeding 1 billion VND were required to use electronic invoices. To date, more than 12,000 business households in Hanoi have switched from lump-sum tax to declaration tax, five times more than the same period last year.
Mr. Nguyen Tien Minh, Deputy Head of the Hanoi City Tax Department, stated: "The revenue they declared after using electronic invoices increased by 55%. More than 1,200 business households have converted to enterprises."
The Tax Department is expected to open the online tax declaration portal for business households at the end of November, allowing them to experience the declaration process before it is officially implemented at the beginning of next year.
Mr. Mai Son, Deputy Director of the Tax Department, Ministry of Finance, stated: "The experience portal will be completed in the second half of November so that business households can operate and test it to familiarize themselves with their transition process."
From using only notebooks and being hesitant about technology, many households, like Mrs. Quyen, have gradually become familiar with computers.
Ms. Pham Thi Quyen, a business owner in Hoang Liet Ward, Hanoi, shared: "We declare and process transactions using the computer. One entry solves all issues related to taxes, finance, and management; all the data is available. Tax obligations and revenue are perfectly aligned."
