According to initial information, on the morning of September 2, on National Highway 14C through Bu Gia Phuc 2 village, Phu Nghia commune ( Dong Nai province), a landslide occurred due to prolonged heavy rain. Mud and soil flooded the road surface, covering a layer 30-50cm thick, stretching for dozens of meters, making it impossible for vehicles to move.
Upon receiving the news, forces from the Traffic Police Department, Fire Prevention, Fire Fighting and Rescue Police Department quickly arrived at the scene. The police force mobilized 1 command vehicle, 1 tanker truck and nearly 10 officers and soldiers to coordinate with local authorities and on-site forces to direct traffic, regulate vehicles and handle the incident.
Thanks to timely implementation, the road has gradually been cleared, vehicles can circulate again, ensuring safety for people during the National Day holiday on September 2.
Previously, on the evening of September 1, due to the impact of prolonged heavy rain, rocks and soil from the hillside in front of Loc Thai Secondary School (Loc Ninh Commune) suddenly collapsed onto Highway 13, creating a layer of mud mixed with rocks, causing slippery conditions and obstructing traffic. Immediately, the traffic police force coordinated with the fire prevention and fighting police force, Loc Ninh Commune Police and local people to focus on clearing rocks and soil, clearing the flow, and washing the road surface, completing the task late at night on September 1.
