The owner of these special gifts is Nguyen Mai Phuong Thao, a student at Thu Dau Mot University, Ho Chi Minh City (formerly Binh Duong province). Thao currently lives in Dong Thanh commune, Ho Chi Minh City (formerly Hoc Mon district, Ho Chi Minh City).
Sharing the reason for preparing these gifts, Thao said she wanted to express her gratitude to the people who spent time and effort to cheer on the female guerilla fighters of the Southern region during the great celebration.
"For me, there is nothing more precious than that sentiment. I hope this small gift will be a keepsake to preserve memorable moments during the A80 celebration," Thao confided.

Thao said that each gift was carefully prepared, including a national flag-shaped hair clip brought from the South, some sweet candies and a handwritten letter containing emotional messages.
In her handwritten lines, Thao is not afraid to be a little "cheesy" to express her feelings sincerely. For example, the sentences "Be careful when you get home", "Isn't it a miracle that we met each other", "It turns out that the most beautiful meeting in life is not on the road but in the heart", "Wishing everyone all the best except hardships", "Proud to be Vietnamese". According to shares on the internet, these simple but warm words have made the gift recipients feel warm.

Thao said that she prepared gifts before each training session. "The night before, I sat down to prepare gifts. At first, on the first rehearsal day, I only had flag hairpins and letters. But when I went to the field, I saw how much people loved me, so I decided to prepare more candy to send to them," Thao said.
As a soldier who participated in the Southern female guerrillas at the 70th anniversary of the Dien Bien Phu Victory, Thao said that she understood that this parade was not an easy task. However, her patriotism and desire to contribute to the country's important event urged Thao to participate. "The most memorable memory for me was the first training session at Ba Dinh. Just after practicing, the people responded very enthusiastically. That made me feel that I had to try my best to complete the task so as not to let everyone down," Thao confided.
In the letter are messages of love

The preparations for the parade took place during the summer, so Thao had no difficulty in asking for leave from school. Although Thao's school started the new semester quite early, she sent an email to ask for permission from her teachers and was fortunate to be given the opportunity to participate in the mission. "My family and friends are very proud of me. I feel happy to have such supportive people behind me," Thao shared.
Thao said she usually spends the evening before each practice session preparing gifts.

Thao said that these small gifts are not only physical items but also a bridge carrying sincere thanks to the people who accompanied, cheered and supported the female soldiers in the parade. Through each hair clip, candy or handwritten line, Thao hopes to spread the spirit of love for the homeland, and at the same time evoke the joyful atmosphere of the great holiday. Moreover, according to the girl, these gifts are also a symbol of the bond of love between the army and the people, a precious traditional value of the nation.
