Continuing the spirit of 'Healthy to study - Healthy to contribute - Healthy to start a career', in recent days, many high schools in Ho Chi Minh City have organized the opening of a sports festival, an ideal opportunity for students to practice their virtues and talents.

The 2025-2026 school year student sports festival just opened this morning (October 26) at Vo Minh Duc High School, Thu Dau Mot Ward, Ho Chi Minh City.

The opening ceremony was attended by Mr. Le Hoang Son Chau, specialist of the General Education Department, Department of Education and Training of Ho Chi Minh City, and 7 teachers in the Physical Education Subject Council of the Department of Education and Training.

Also attending the event were teachers from Vo Minh Duc High School: Mr. Pham Nguyen Thanh Tuan, Principal; Mr. Pham Van Tung, Vice Principal, Head of the Organizing Committee of the contest; Ms. Nguyen Thi Minh Thoa, Vice Principal; Ms. Nguyen Thi Thu, Head of the Physical Education - National Defense and Security Education Group, Deputy Organizing Committee of the contest; Mr. Nguyen Huu Phuc, Chairman of the Trade Union and many other teachers.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, Mr. Pham Nguyen Thanh Tuan, Principal of the school, hoped that each student would continue to promote the noble sportsmanship spirit, make every effort to achieve the best results, not only in competitions but also in studying and training ethics. At the same time, Mr. Tuan requested the organizing committee and the referee team to work fairly, objectively and accurately, and that students compete with the spirit of solidarity, honesty, exchange and learning, and strictly comply with the competition rules.

After the opening ceremony, the first exciting match took place in volleyball at the school's multi-purpose gymnasium, attracting many fans, teachers and students, to watch and cheer enthusiastically. Other competitions at the Vo Minh Duc High School student sports festival were athletics, tug of war, football, basketball and badminton.
