Shot from above, the video takes viewers to the pristine, peaceful scenery of a Thai village - where traditional culture is still preserved amidst modern life.
Hat Village, Hat Luu Commune, located in the high mountains of the West of Tram Tau District ( Yen Bai ), is likened to a "low note" in the symphony of the Northwest mountains and forests. Through the lens of author Ha Van Thinh, each terraced field curves like golden waves in the early morning sun; ancient stilt houses reflect on the stream; afternoon smoke from the kitchen stove lingers in the valley... All appear realistic and poetic, making viewers feel like they are flying in the sky, immersing themselves in the peaceful scenery.

Not only recreating the natural beauty, the video also vividly depicts the cultural life of the Thai people - from the bustling xoe dance in the festival, to the image of a woman working hard at the loom, or the gentle smile of the village elder welcoming guests. Those details, under the flycam lens, are both familiar and new, opening up a different perspective on community tourism in the highlands: simple but full of attraction.
This place always impresses visitors with the way the people preserve their traditional lifestyle, costumes, xoè dance, and cuisine. When I brought the flycam up, I realized that this village looked breathtakingly beautiful from above – both majestic and filled with human warmth.
A notable point in “Discovering the Hat – Hat Luu Village” is the way of telling a story through images without words. The video has no commentary or dialogue, instead, the background music and gentle editing rhythm guide the viewer to feel the story through images. From the sunlight filtering through the roof, the sound of wind blowing through the bamboo forest, to the moment when children play by the stream – each frame evokes a deep connection between humans and nature.
With a short duration but full of emotions, the film is not only a travel film but also an invitation to explore the peaceful land in the middle of the Yen Bai mountains. After being released, the video received many positive comments from the audience, many of whom said that "just watching it makes me want to pack my backpack and go".
The Second Prize for “Discovering Hat – Hat Luu Village” is a recognition of the efforts of local tourism content creators – those who are contributing to bringing the image of the Northwest closer to domestic and international tourists.
