Of which, 15 projects have been completed and put into use, 11 projects are completing procedures for project preparation. The rate of rural households in the old Binh Phuoc province using clean water reached 100%. In the period of 2021-2025, the old Binh Phuoc province did not invest in rural clean water infrastructure from the budget. Water supply enterprises in the province have invested in about 320km of water supply pipes for more than 5,800 households.
Up to now, Dong Nai province (old) has 91 rural centralized water supply works, including 52 works in operation and 39 works inactive. Binh Phuoc province (old) has 48 works, including 32 works in operation and 16 works inactive.
The current difficulty is that most water supply enterprises have not been assigned specific water supply areas, leading to difficulties in developing long-term investment plans for the units. Infrastructure planning is not synchronized, leading to slow implementation of some projects. Some areas are stuck in planning, so it is impossible to invest in water supply infrastructure to serve the people. The unit price of clean water after appraisal and approval is still high compared to the income of rural people...

Vice Chairwoman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Thi Hoang emphasized: The province's target by 2030 is that the rate of rural households using clean water that meets standards is 85%, of which water from centralized water supply works reaches 68%, from household water supply works and water filtration equipment reaches 17%. To achieve this goal, there is a lot of work to do. We request the Department of Construction and the Department of Agriculture and Environment to review all planned rural clean water supply works to update the province's planning.
The province will have a separate directive document requesting wards and communes to review the centralized water supply projects in the area to see if they are suitable; zoning in investment, if there are already projects, it is necessary to avoid overlapping investment. This is an investment planning problem, where there are none, call for investment, where there are sparsely populated areas, support people to install household water filters. Assign the Department of Agriculture and Environment to review the water reservoirs in the province, any reservoir that reduces the need for agricultural irrigation water should be regulated through domestic water, increasing the efficiency of the reservoirs.
Regarding the province's clean water investment plan for the 2026-2030 period, the Department of Agriculture and Environment will coordinate with the Department of Construction to complete this plan based on practical comments from wards and communes.
