Dong Nai strives to achieve a health insurance coverage rate of 96% for its population.

(Dong Nai) - On the afternoon of June 3rd, Ms. Nguyen Thi Hoang, Member of the City Party Committee and Vice Chairman of the Dong Nai City People's Committee, worked with the City Social Insurance (BHXH) agency on the results of implementing social insurance, health insurance (BHYT), and unemployment insurance (BHTN) policies in 2025, the first five months of 2026, and tasks and solutions for the remaining seven months of 2026. Leaders from relevant departments and agencies also attended.

According to the Social Insurance Department of Dong Nai City, as of May 23, 2026, the city had 4.16 million people participating in social insurance, health insurance, and unemployment insurance. Total revenue reached 12,779 billion VND, equivalent to 33.4% of the annual plan; the amount of overdue payments was 1,105 billion VND, accounting for 2.89%.

In the first five months of 2026, the Social Insurance sector assessed the health insurance costs for over 4 million people, totaling more than 2.1 billion VND, representing a 3.8% increase in the number of visits and a 9.02% increase in costs compared to the same period in 2025. The utilization rate of the health insurance fund budget reached approximately 44.1%.
